Firstly this place is the best American Diner this side of the pond! Home made burgers that could bring a tear to a Chicago born Guy like myself. Move over Mom's apple it's Gateway's Burgers that hit the spot for this ex-pat now set up home in the Netherlands. Great food, good staff (slightly wacky, but always smiling!).

Some places try to be retro but this place does not even need to try, it is the real thing! How did it end up here... More

Tipical american diner with hamburgers . It looks as the real thing but the food is more on the dutch side so don't expect the breakfast with beans, eggs, baked potato's + the free refills. Still a nice experience to feel the atmosphere of the real thing.

Gateway Diner is an authentic classic diner built in the USA in 1941. She operated in New Jersey for 80 years before being abandoned and eventually shipped to England for restoration. Now she lives in the middle of Beatrix Park, serving delicious burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
