Tried to get into the famous NOMA to no avail and read reviews that this restaurant was a great option for visitors that were looking for another option, man were they correct. They only have what seemed like 10 or so tables in the whole place. From the time you walk in till you leave you felt taken care of.... More

The Danish wine maker Peter Vinding-Diers spoke about his new book and wines. The restaurant did a 12 course dinner around his fantastic wines and it was one of the most incredible evenings ever from a wine and dine perspective. The restaurant is high class and deserves as a minimum 1 Michelin star. Can only recommend the place. Outstanding wines... More

Mielcke & Hurtigkarl was a delightful experience. I had assumed it to be in the Royal Botanical Gardens in Copenhagen, but in fact it was in a garden a short distance from the City - a 15 minute taxi ride. You wander down a garden path to a brick and stone orangery, spectacularly lit with classic chandeliers and a modern... More

Wow. This restaurant is a bit hard to describe. Recommended by our travel agent, we didn't know what to expect. We were here mid-week so there were only four tables around us during the course of the evening. The restaurant is located in a chateau, and the room has large bright chandeliers, a gorgeous crystal light in the shape of... More

Great spot near beautiful parc Nouvelle cuisine Great wines But the portions are so small that you leave stil hungry because lack of substantial food and drunk because you get too much wine on an empty stomach The serving is excellent They are all very attentive and friendly

We went here to celebrate and had the 5-course menu which turned out to be 14 servings. To accompany the food we had a champagne menu plus a glass of red wine along the way. It was a taste bombardment. I cannot remember them all but there was seafoods, pigeon, fish - all done in a personal and surprising way.... More

The restaurant and gardens are simply beautiful. Make sure you take the time to look around and enjoy the decor as well as the food. We chose the three course menu with wine pairing and it didn't disappoint. Whilst it was a three course menu there were several snacks in between courses. You can choose from a set menu of... More

Description
Gastronomic Fairy Tales – Our philosophy is to share our stories and emotions – Just like in the fairy tales you will never know what to expect. In tune with the season and the raw materials available to us at the time, we will present a string of finely crafted surprises and organic impressions at your table.“Food is a way for me to communicate emotions and tell stories. To reach people and move them. It can be technical or powerful, but only works when vulnerability is present. Taking people on a gastronomic journey around the palate and playing with the senses to really move them. The elements of nature in a series of organic impressions and tales transformed onto your plate.” - Jakob Mielcke

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
