Crowded and loud, guests over middle-aged. The food was average as the pricing. Maybe this is a nice place during summer period but in winter it is more in the atmosphere german beer hall.

Laks, gravlaks, herring, mussels, lots of different fish and meat dishes, and a decent array of classic Danish desserts, served in a relaxed atmosphere that typifies a true Danish eating experience. Small platters, large platters, your choice. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something other than a big-city restaurant.

What do I say, this fab place is exactly what you want to enjoy as an authentic Danish eating experience. Setting perfect with open courtyard environment and great patriotic waiter who wanted you to embrace an old world Danish dining world. Our teenage kids loved it and the meal was full of local surprises which really made the evening a... More

We have visited this restaurant continually during the past 20 years. Never have we been disappointed. The food is traditional Danish including fresh fish, prawns and other dishes. Ask the waiter if there are any days specials and marry your food menu to Danish schapps and old brown beer.

Great Place if you want to try Danish food! Very tipical and in the nice neighbourhood of Vesterbro, this place is really a must go, because it seems to be a native restaurant for Danish people, so you will be able to try real good and Danish food!

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
