We have visited this restaurant continually during the past 20 years. Never have we been disappointed. The food is traditional Danish including fresh fish, prawns and other dishes. Ask the waiter if there are any days specials and marry your food menu to Danish schapps and old brown beer.

"Do you want to try a tipical Danish restaurant?", that's what I was asked. Sure ! A very good experience, a lot of choices, small platters and it all tasted great. I will definitely visit this place on my next trip to Copenhagen

Great Place if you want to try Danish food! Very tipical and in the nice neighbourhood of Vesterbro, this place is really a must go, because it seems to be a native restaurant for Danish people, so you will be able to try real good and Danish food!

It was on our 5th wedding anniversary that we went to this lovely place for lunch. We wanted to taste some authentic Danish dishes and a google search pointed us to this restaurant. We received a very warm welcome by the super friendly staffs. They encouraged us to speak in Danish and it was fun communicating with our broken Danish... More

An excellent choice if you want to experience Danish open sandwiches truly Old School. Extreemly cosy atmosphere, experienced waiters with good humour and a wide selection of traditional open sandwiches and small warm dishes. Only minus: the food is kept in the frigde just until final preperation and serving and the cold dishes are therefore very cold, which also costs... More

Before visiting, we checked on-line for eateries and local places to try the local delicacies. We were pleasantly surprised with this place as we were greeted with a welcoming smile and treated just like the locals (even with us being English). The waitress and waiters were very helpful and patient when it came to translating the menu and certain foods... More

This was not my first time. Coming to CPH means you have to try the Danish Smorrebrod. Cant wait to get back..... One of the best places is here. Great service, super authentic real Danish Smorrebrod without any modernities = just the way it should be. Cant wait to get back.....

Thank SteenBoes

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighborhood Profile
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
