Great beer, lovely food. Great fire too! Perfect pub for a point after a long day walking on the hills. I visit every year and always look forward to my first pint here.

Great food quality, range and value. Nice surroundings, ambience and a log fire! The veggie lasagne came with a tasty green salad and garlic bread and coleslaw, For £8.95! Delicious. The staff are professional and friendly. The interior is homely and lots of tables providing...More

It was merely 30 minutes walk from YHA Edale where we stayed over the weekend Beautiful interior and great atmosphere. Food was good and we enjoyed it better than dinner at the hostel. Next day, we did a 3-hour walk from the hostel to Ringing...More

Great building and ok accommodation but not sure the staff have any comprehension of what customer service means...a very "couldn't care less" type of attitude from the manager down. We were a group of 7 friends who came to Edale as a reminder of happy...More

Return visit to Castleton & the Nags Head. It didn't disappoint. Great steak. Live music on Saturday night (although Marv should perhaps temper his language).

Not dog friendly and really bad food. The land lady took a dislike to my dog and set her dogs into the public area to harass my dog. Luckily my dog can look after her self.
