There is a warm welcome as you ascend to this roof-top restaurant. This restaurant is part of a hotel that is trying to be more upmarket. However, I can only comment on the food. The food is described as traditional “with a twist”. I always...admire imagination in cookery, The amuse-bouche are outstanding. This shows great promise. But I feel the chef has not refined his main dishes yet. For example, I had a pork chop with chick-peas in some kind of sauce. Maybe the pork was previously frozen, but it was not tender. The chick-peas in sauce was boring to eat. There was nothing else on the plate. My first course was better. This had a delicious sliced pork that had been matured in wine. The pork had a lovely cheese in with it. But then there was a multitude of cherry tomatoes which went on forever. There was no balance. With a bit more thought, this could be a tasty first course considering these fine ingredients. The prices are way above average and I do not consider the recipes are that good.More
