Admittedly we ate here on perhaps the most perfect evening of this rather disappointing summer, but it is hard to imagine a more idyllic spot for a summer dinner. Champagne in the garden in the late evening sun, and then in to the old dining room to wander through the 8-course 'surprise' menu which was like being taken round the... More

I thought I had eaten in some very special places - in fact I have; but, if you haven't experienced Frances Adkins magnificent restaurant you ain't seen anything yet!! We indulged in the tasting menu and were completely blown away. The quality, presentation ; and variety was staggering. The service exemplary, and it was wonderful to see all staff looking... More

We enjoyed an excellent dinner and night's stay in the Yorke Arms in the heart of beautiful Nidderdale. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. As we had hoped and expected the Michelin Starred Chef, Frances Atkins, had done some very clever things with home grown or locally sourced ingredients to produce a superb meal that... More

Formal old world charm...exquisite cuisine...very helpful and knowledgeable staff all contribute to a fabulous dining experience. A must visit place in the Yorkshire Dales. They also have a great collection of wines. The coffee is sadly a Nespresso and not a properly brewed cup ....Go there with time on your hand - this is an experience to be savoured and... More

Tremendously charming English Inn / Michelin Star restaurant. It goes without saying that the food was amazing (we were there for a wedding) and the setting is like something from a period drama. Very impressed by the friendly and efficient staff. I shall be back!

After our faux pas with the bar, drinks orders were taken and, as we had chosen the tasting menu, we were invited to select wines - tricky because we had no idea of what we would be eating - this needs addressing because it's quite irritating. The service was formal and almost formulaic which made for a stilted atmosphere, but... More

Can't fault a thing! The drive up to this restaurant was pretty and when we arrived the building itself is stunning. We felt well looked after by the staff from the moment we stepped in. The food was simply divine, we had the 8 course tasting menu and it was a real treat. Enjoyed a little tipple in the lounge... More

The Yorke Arms is a breathtakingly and beautifully located restaurant which is well worth the effort to find. A menu, which is second to none, was presented along with some delightfully moreish parmesan tart canapés,after which the treats just kept arriving. The star of the show in my opinion was the venison dish with accompanying pastry wrapped braised oxtail, which was quite frankly... More
