Had dinner here the first evening when we arrived in Merichas. Owner Kostas offered amazing service and recommended dishes to try. We had appetizers, followed by the sardines, sea-bream, and baby goat. The fish was super fresh and the goat was deliciously tender. We sat right at the beach, only a meter away from the ocean, and had the most... More

We left Alimos Marina around 4pm and arrived in Merichas around 9:30pm. We chose this location simply out of convenience and visual appeal. Our waiter, Costa, was very nice and recommended all of the dishes for our table. The appetizers, salads, fried red mullet, and fried sardines were perfect. We were served so quickly by a staff of three. We... More

Went there middle of July, in a weekday so we avoided the crowd of tourists that usually flood the place. The restaurant is located at the center of the beach and you have a 180 degrees view to the port. It is literally 5 meters away from the sea shore, so if you have kids they can have a lot... More

A lovely evening here was enjoyed by 4 off a yacht. The starters were the best part of our meal, with perfect octopus, courgette patties and aubergine somethings to die for. Really friendly people who wanted us to enjoy our evening on their bit of shore, with the perfect sunset view. The delightful staff even provided me with insect repellent,... More

During our island hopping holiday, we visited the Byzantio on several occasions and it never failed to impress us. The food, location and quality of service were outstanding. The brother and sister duo were always friendly helpful and generous.

As a resident of the Kyklades, I am very familiar with what is good food what is not. If you want the real deal, the real Greek food with ingredients from the owner's garden, local farms and made by the family that runs the place, come here. If you want something else, go to Santorini where the food is sanitized... More

Maybe this was a bad day for them, but I don't really understand why this place has such great score, it was really bad. Even the fries were re-fried or microwaved! The FRIES! We got there for dinner and we ordered fried squid, octopus, zucchini balls, fried sliced eggplant, tomato balls, fries, a Greek salad and a couple of beers.... More

During a sailing trip beginning of April 2016 I have visited the island of Kithnos and there in the evening I went for a dinner to Yalos/Byzantio. Fantastic food, very climatic location, super service, very good prices... Next time I sail to Kithnos I will definitely visit that location...
