One of the nicer restaurants in Osh. The food was nice, the service pretty good and the prices were not too bad either. The places is in a really nice location and the restaurant decor/setting is nice. Also there is like a dancing/night club type...area too. I think they just need to step it up a bit to make a it great. But I would go againMore
Izum is one of the best restaurants if not the best one in Osh, the same applies to their prices. It offers wide range of food from local dishes to international ones. The food was OK, but the service was extremly slow. I will come...back as I have not found anything better in Osh yet.More
Good place to enjoy diner, with a large menu ranging from pizza to staple central Asian dishes.
After 22h the DJ opens the dance floor after which the restaurant changes into a bar / night club. However, things remain relatively conservative as this is still...a pretty traditional city.
Quirky thing is that after every 30-60 minutes the music is paused for 15 minutes, in which everybody returns to their table to drink / chat. Yet as soon as the music starts again, everyone is on the dance floor within 10 seconds.More
This place is great if you like
- garish neon lighting
- peanuts. 1) they arrived and 2) they looked and tasted like peanuts
- lager. Actually this was quite drinkable.
- people watching. Especially the waiters as they buzz around ignoring you.
- umbrellas....The (outdoor) dance floor is literally covered by them. A nice artistic touch.
- comfortably seating. Very useful as you wait helplessly for the waiters to pay you some attention.
- surprises. Eventually your food might arrive, but do not fear. It won't match the order you gave the hour previously.
- overbearing disco/singer. To be fair the singer did look quite emotional about it all, almost like it mattered. He wasn't bad. Just loud.
I guess it depends what you're after. It seems popular with some expats and young Kyrgyz girls (is there a link?), maybe for dancing? For drinks / dinner I cannot recommend.
This is only my second ever TripAdvisor review and I just learned you can't give zero stars. DS.More
We celebrated my husband’s grandma’s birthday dinner. Such places are usually packed during Holy Ramadan month and we reserved a place and ordered food in advance. The place was ready to sit but the food was not completely ready. The waiter was very slow as...we were more than 25 ppl, I am sure we would need 2 more waiters. The food was not delicious at all, the meatball soup we ordered as a starter was very salty, the plov for the main meal was very oily and salty too. I have no idea how they are cooiking all meal as Osh is place where all food is always supposed to be super delicious. The total reciept was about 160$, as they had 50% off due to Ramadan time. I would never go to Izum to eat, maybe I would go for some drink but for eating I wud choose another place and much cheaper.More
We only had one night in Osh and we came here for dinner. Comfy couch chairs (more for drinks than eating) and spacious. Waiter was very attentive to our needs. Good place to observe how local young people hang out and dance. Food is ok...and the meat was a bit tough.More
So far I have only had sushi and dessert at Izium. It's a real fun place to go flr drinks and party, but for dinner it is not my first choice. The food is pricey (for Osh) but good, but is unfortunately ruined by loud...(live and/or DJ) music. Not a very calm place for dinner!
Nice staff though, not great at English!More
If you are looking for good food avoid this restaurant. We tried a beef and lamb ribes..definitely the worst meat we ate in 12 days in Kirghizistan. I believe the meat was not cooked at the moment..probably days before. Only 1 thing is positive..the restaurant...looks nice. A restaurant to avoid.More
