you can relax over good coffee and food very easily here. So many good things to try and open day and night. Everyone working here is super friendly and enthusiastic as well.

These are the best brownies I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. I have a cookery website and these knock the spots of off any recipe I have ever tested. One is definitely enough. Perfect texture and packed with flavor. They have free wifi too and a cafe area at the back of the bakery so you can as... More

After trying other places first once I found San Jose I didn't go anywhere else. Great breakfast and reasonable price!

Average sandwiches. Very good cakes and bakery items. Service is fair. Place is very popular with the locals.

In April 2013 it opened at 6:30 am and had great coffee. There bakery is first rate as are their meals. As an added convenience the menu has workable translations. Good banana splits.

A friendly place to have breakfast, located very near the plaza de armas. Not as cozy as cafe fusiones, but cheaper. The staff were friendly and attentive, service was fast, and the breakfast was ok, although not amazing (I'm really fussy about my scrambled eggs though).

I´ve never eaten a better cake from a shop in my life! Everything there is incredibly fresh, probably because it´s so popular with locals. Great coffee, ice-cream, donuts, caaaaaake! There is seating out the back, where you can get burgers and other hot meals, but if your coming here you have to indulge your sweet tooth. They are open til... More

Clean, close to Plaza. Excellent coffee/espresso drinks, popular with locals and tourists. Try the fruit salad for breakfast. Breads, sweets, ice cream. Can get coffee to go if needed. Some full meals but not the strong point.

If your hostel doesn't come with breakfast, just go there at half-block from Plaza de Armas and get one of their very good breakfasts (Continental, Americano o San José) for 7-8 S. You really get enough for 2 hungry guys! Opened from 6:30am until 10pm, you can also get small pizzas, tasty burgers (8 S) and many sweet food. The... More

Great food and value...went there for breakfast and they had a more traditional Peruvian breakfast option as well as continental breakfast. the portions were large for the price, and it's on a street right off of the central plaza
