We hadn't booked but were very well treated while we waited for a table. The menu choice was excellent and very fresh and of excellent quality. The wines and beers were all reasonably priced and we really enjoyed an excellent meal at this very friendly Chinese restaurant. Highly recommended.

Superb restaurant - first class Chinese cuisine . Arrived at 7:45pm it was hot would recommend booking in August after 8:15pm when the sun isn’t so strong . Har Gau, fishcakes , Singapore noodles and the fillet of beef in pepper sauce was divine - the Canadian white was lovely so we had 2 bottles all done for about €100 worth every cent . We booked again - say no more

We visited as a family of 3 for my girlfriends birthday We booked a table for 9:30pm and when we got here we wasn’t disappointed all the staff was very welcoming and very friendly towards my son interacting and high 5ing him we was shown our table straight away in which they had decorated it with happy birthday for my girlfriend 😬 we ordered our food and they asked if my son would want his food right away and we agreed his food come and looked amazing with such a massive portion but it went down hill for us as my son starting playing up but the staff where all very professional and tried to help with the situation I can’t fault them what so ever as they where tryin to help at every opportunity in the end we had to take him and let him play in the park out the back but still staff tried to make it a special occasion. because I had to keep going out side to check on my son they asked if we would like to move outside so we agreed and they moved all of our food and drinks to an outside table. After eating they bought out a special little cake for my girlfriend and sang happy birthday to her 🎉 excellent touch 👍🏽👌this restaurant was amazing and I can’t fault them or the food it was definitely 10/10 and we will be back at a later date with just me and my girlfriend thank you for all your help and excellent service and hope to see your in not to distance future 👍🏽

We had reserved a table only to be told it wasn’t just ready and to go and get a couple of discounted drinks at Bloom Bar just down the road (newly opened by Venture Restaurants).
They were clearly trying to promote the new bar but in any case when we eventually got seated in Restaurant 88 we came across the worst customer service ever. Talk about confrontational? This was something else.
When the food arrived in what used to be our favourite haunt in La Caleta it was, quite frankly, disgusting and only worthy of a down beat City Centre cheap restaurant.
We didn’t pay and neither did two other tables it was that bad. We never ate a thing as we simply couldn’t.
This was really disappointing and we will never be back. Venture Restaurants (it they still own Restaurant 88) will need to up their game in what is becoming a competitive market in and around La Caleta.

We recently booked a table here for my husband's 30th Birthday and it did not dissapoint. The staff, Alex and Marco, were so friendly and attentive we could not have asked for better service. When we arrived they had even put up a birthday banner and confetti on the table for my husband's birthday, we also had our little 4 year old girl with us and she loved the food. There was plenty to choose from and the food was incredible! To top off a lovely evening they brought out a cake with a candle and the staff sang happy birthday. This place is worth a visit, great food, great view and fantastic staff, what more can you ask for?! Thank you restaurant 88.

In La Caleta for 7 nights and went to Restaurant 88 twice, basically a very modern Chinese restaurant, food and service are second to none, Alex and Lora took care of me and my wife on both visits, they are helpful and informative about the food on offer, but also very cheerful, friendly and very attentive.
I wouldn’t like to recommend one dish over any of the others as the 2 starters and 4 main courses we had were all as amazing as each other, and dishes being served to other tables looked equally amazing. If you are in the La Caleta area, make the effort to visit Restaurant 88 it is well worth it.

This was our 3rd visit in the last 3 years.I told the manager that it gets better and better.
The restaurant overlooks the sea in the beautiful bay of La Caletta.
The ambiance and decor are modern and attractively Eastern.The restaurant is very comfortable.
Booking was not easy as the restaurant is always very busy.We managed to get a table for 4 at 8.45.
The welcome was warm and friendly and we had a drink outside.
The service throughout was professional and attentive.
Our waiter Ion took us through the extensive menu and helped us how to go about doing it justice.This was much appreciated.
Like many similar restaurants sharing is the way to go.
We started with Dim Sum with prawns.vegetarian spring rolls and prawn toasts.All 3 were very tasty and more than enough for 4 of us.
3 of our party opted for the crispy roast duck with cucumber,onions carrots and rice (no pancakes--but it did not matter as it was an absolutely delicious and a huge portion.I had sliced duck with vegetables and rice which was scrumptious and satisfied a large appetite.
We drank cold cava served with a fresh strawberry.
We finished with fresh lychees and ice cream.Lovely!
This is a unique and excellent restaurant.It should be a must for anyone visiting La Caletta.
A special word for Ion and all the other staff.
We will be back.

Firstly, La Caleta is beautiful, we were there as the sun set and the view were amazing. The restaurant is in a great location facing the sea. Service was fantastic, they were really helpful with selecting wine and also with my boyfriend sever nut allergy! They were helpful in explaining the menu to us and suggesting how to order and also explaining the various dishes. We had the sushi platter for 4 people to share and it was phenomenal, so fresh! We also shared the crispy squid dim sum, which again was amazing. We then had a variety of mains, the scallops in black bean sauce, crispy seafood noodles, steamed sea bass and udon noodles in a seafood broth. Every single dish was incredible!!! We would 100% come back with the amazing service and food. Highly recommend!

I really do think Restaurant 88 is the 'jewel' in the Venture crown of restaurants - we make an extra effort to come & eat here irrespective of where we are staying on the Island.........and the quality of food & service never fails to impress.
Keep up the good work - see you again in June 2020!!.

We have just had one of the best meals ever in Tenerife at Restaurant 88. The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We went to celebrate my Son’s 24th birthday and they had put banners and confetti on the table for him and brought a selection of desserts to share, with a candle and sang happy birthday which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Tenerife

Returned to 88 this year. It is only small but the Thai food is delicious and the service gives it a feel of "homeliness" and that the staff really care about the customer. We once more went for the set menu which is plentiful and tasty. Would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant and our servers (two visits in the week) of Marco, Ion and Alexandre

We had our anniversary dinner at this restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised by attention that we received from the staff who gave us the best table on the front row. We tried 2 different kinds of sushi, and both were impeccable. Cheesecake was also to die for. We highly recoommend this place when in Tenerife. However, please note that advance reservations are absolutely necessary for this restaurant as it is always full.

We arrived 10 minutes early and were asked to wait but we were given glasses of Cava which was a nice touch. Great ambience and our waiters Ion and Jose were superb. Vegetable spring rolls were cooked to perfection and the mixed sashmi, nigri and maki were very good. Main course See Bass in spring onion and ginger was good but the Sea Bream with a spicy sauce was better. Rounded off with a yummy chocolate brownie and ice cream. We will definitely be going back!

Despite no reservation a table was quickly made available at no inconvenience to the staff. They were extremely polite and friendly which is a change from what we have experienced further down the coast.
The food was delicious, opting for the Traditional Set Menu which allowed both my husband and I to trial a variety of food the restaurant had to offer. It was served in intervals which allowed us to enjoy each part without the food going cold.
Definitely worth the walk up the coast and would 100% recommend to anyone wishing to try Asian Cuisine.
We would recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was very popular and we were lucky to get a table.

We thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch here at Restaurant 88. The food was so tasty and the prawns were well prepared and absolutely delicious. My friends had a set banquet which looked and tasted amazing (we all tried a bit).
I recommend the king prawn tempura, but I really wish I could have tried many of the other starters too. Hopefully I can make it back again.
Our host, who I think was called Jovita, a lovely person with red/pink hair (only adding this in as I am unsure of the name), was very friendly and was checking in on us regularly and topping up the drinks. She was also able to make recommendations and tell us about the different options (banquet, etc).
The restaurant is on the pricier side I guess but I think okay considering the location and quality. Highly recommend.
From a covid perspective, tables well spaced out and all staff had masks on.
