Before the pandemic I did semi regular visits to the pub since work sends me to the area - probably visited once every two weeks. COVID naturally put a stop to that, and now after 18 months I've been back in. Met at the entrance...by a friendly chap who guided me to a free table after making sure I used antibac gel. Had a few pints before ordering a seared tuna steak, with pesto roasted veg and new potatoes. Genuinely delicious - frankly was embarrassed at how quickly I ate it. Recommended.More

Visited this excellent public house a few times during a stay nearby, it gets very busy so booking a table may be advisable.. Onto the food I tried, Chili burger, salad and curly fries was amazing and a super size portion, which was way too...much for me. My favourite meal here was the Sea bass, vegetables and potatoes, again pretty large size, the fish was cooked to perfection and an absolute treat. The service from the staff, especially the head guy was superb and you can see why they're so busy. Essential if nearby, great pub!!!More

I visted this pub during a busy weekday and really enjoyed the lovely food, drinks and service we recieved. My friend and I ordered food in the evening at a busy period however, the food came out after a decent amount of time, was piping...hot, beautifully presented and full of flavour. I was especially impressed with the attention to detail in regards to the food presentation. A bonus was all the friendly staff, with their friendly demeanour! Will definately recommend eating there.More

I arrived around 1730 and was greeted by security in a friendly manner. The lighting and seating was very nice atmosphere. The staff are a credit- so professional. I ordered pate to start then a lamb burger. The food arrived very quick. The quality of...the food was excellent. I observed the gengleman who was taking the order from people- very calm and professional to all. After my meal I gained the attention of this gentleman- I beleive he was one of the owners. I paid him a great compliment - that they reallly created a great business. It all flowed and the customer servive from all was excellent. I live in Florence (Italy) and we have some good food there too- but I was really impressed with the whole package of The Pheasant - well done Thanks Shane Paul FinneganMore

We received a warm welcome, requested an outside table - nice airy space, not too crowded. Our jacket potatoes came with fresh salad garnish and were of generous proportions and very tasty. Great friendly customer service in a relaxed atmosphere- we will return soon.

I came here after a few months with my friend. We had a warm greeting from Wes who I had met and chatted with before. The lady at the bar was also friendly and the service was excellent even though it was busy. The food...arrived promptly and as usual, the portions were huge. The food was fresh and great value for money. Wes overheard me mentioning coffee and offered to take our order to save me going to the bar. I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely go back. Thanks guys. You made it good to be out and about again.More

We have been here quite a few times now, staying at a local hotel for our business meetings. We always make a booking at The Pheasant. Welcomed at the door by Katie and shown to our table. Our waiter John always always has us laughing...and smiling from start to finish. He really does make an already amazing experience that much better. The service and the food is exceptional. Look forward to seeing you all again soon Rachel :-)More
