We wanted to find somewhere decent to eat near Heathrow whilst dropping our son and daughter-in-law off last night, and found The Pheasant through searches and good reviews. We were not disappointed! We had an amazing meal, the food was excellent and the service was second to none. Flight attendant John was our “host” and his entertainment value, good humour along with all sorts of really useful info about San Fran (where our son and his wife were off to) was brilliant. He was rushed off his feet so even more credit to him fo delivering the service he gave, without being over intrusive. Lovely guy. . What a bonus to have someone like him on board. We’ll definitely be back when the opportunity arises. I should add, the portions are enormous! The menu was clearly marked up where necessary for just about every item allergy or intolerance you can think of which was useful, and there was something to suit everyone. I’m glad we booked as it was full (Friday night 8.30pm)

Stayed at a local hotel for one night. the restaurant offer there was limited and expensive so found the Pheasant on the map and booked a table. Very friendly welcome from all staff. Seated quickly. Very extensive menu. I had the Calves liver and bacon and my wife chose the Chicken and mushroom pie. Our food arrived very quickly, every element piping hot and very well cooked (trust me I'm a retired master chef) . The quality here is exceptional and the portions very generous. We were served by a very efficient and extremely friendly, attentive Scottish lady. If we are staying over at heathrow again this would be the first place I would book for a meal.

We were a party of 4 celebrating a birthday. It has been some years since we have visited The Pheasant and were not dissapointed. Rik seems to have owned this place for ever and ithas improved over those years. We knew the portions were going to be large so we avoided having starters, thank goodness. The portions were indeed very large and the food was delicious.
We were warmly greeted in the main restaurant by the bar staff and the maitre de. There was no rush to be taken to our table and we could enjoy a drink before our meal, in the comfortable bar area, (PS Rik, your sofas could do with refurbishment, the leatherette covers are badly worn). Our service at the table was excellent, friendly and helpful. Although the meal was a little slow in coming, it did not matter as we were busy talking and in no rush. The food was hot and presented well, it was delicious, but in my case far to much, and I have a good appetite, I had breast and leg of duck and the breast was so big, I had to have the leg in a doggy bag. We didn't have room for desert.
Well done Rik for keeping your standrds high, and to all of your staff, no wonder this venue is always so busy.

My friend was raving about this place and I was getting ready for a treat! We went on a sunday, probably their busiest day, but what we got service and food wise was shocking. We got a lovely table next to a window to the front of the building, but that's where all the good stuff ended. The pub just seemed to be in a chaos... You had to wait in a massive queue to place your food order in a separate till as if in KFC, whilst there were 3 bartenders behind the bar not really doing much at all. As a matter of fact, I had to stand in an empty bar for ages for any of them to acknowledge me, as they were too busy chatting to each other. We had to clear our own plates out of the way of the mains and they were sub par and cold, after we waited for ages. There was a crust on top of the mash that can only be the result of the plated dish being held under the pass for way too long. I honestly do not understand the raving reviews. I was very disappointed. Fantastic attitude/Service from staff could have rescued a lot, but they were aloof and non-committed.

We were very disappointed and concerned to find out that you guys fry vegetarian food in same oil you fry fish in . For customers who are vegetarian and allergic to fish this is not acceptable at all . People with allergies this is a life threatening issue . I orders chips and when I found out it’s in the same oil as a fish than the guy on the till were not helpful to change my chips to something else. Very very disappointed and will not be visiting again with my friends.

Went to the restaurant for a departmental team post Christmas lunch . 8 of us . As a company we frequent the bar regularly and the bar food but rarely use the restaurant . The menu is extensive considering this is in essence a gastro pub . Lovely atmosphere , excellent service and as expected , portion sizes are huge ! Represents excellent value for money with starters and desserts around £8 and mains from around £16-25 . Is easily on par with the local airport hotels in terms of standard of food
Very popular venue for the airport community
Pictures of the desserts. The cheese board was to die for !

Just on our way home from a birthday celebration this evening !! We visit The Pheasant Inn often and every time, the service, atmosphere and especially the food is spot on !! The Manager (not sure if he’s the owner??) is always so kind, friendly and welcoming (not to mention very funny 🤣). We love coming here and we can’t wait to visit again soon. Thanks so much for having us 😘 xx

Over all the food is really good, portions size quality very good I have not been here for over a year now but today was not happy as I felt rushed they did not give you no time at all to enjoy your meal. We ordered starters and then the main came we was only half way though our main they came again and said have you finished 👀. Was a bit annoyed then I here one of the old lady staff member say to the manager that stupid cow don’t know if she was referring to a customer or staff member but it was very unprofessional I turned around and looked at them then they went around the corner. Yet again the same lady came and said to us have you finished I felt very rushed it was like they wanted us out of there . I think they definitely need to improve for sure as there prices are not cheap after the bill came the same lady had the cheek to ask for a tip her words were don’t be afraid to offer a tip what, did I just here that I looked at her considering she was not even our server. ( what a joke)

Visited this excellent public house a few times during a stay nearby, it gets very busy so booking a table may be advisable.. Onto the food I tried, Chili burger, salad and curly fries was amazing and a super size portion, which was way too much for me. My favourite meal here was the Sea bass, vegetables and potatoes, again pretty large size, the fish was cooked to perfection and an absolute treat. The service from the staff, especially the head guy was superb and you can see why they're so busy. Essential if nearby, great pub!!!

We were looking for a pub/restaurant near to our parking for terminal 2/3. The Pheasant is not only close , but provides superb food at reasonable prices. We first went through the pub section and saw the lovely presented food, however it was a little crowded so we were shown through to the restaurant. The menu is similar prices the same and really nice surroundings. The staff were very pleasant and the food superb.

We travelled 3 hrs to the guest house across the road from the pub with a 9 month old baby. After a long journey we just wanted a quick meal and as soon as we got onto the car park the waitress stopped us and told us that we are not allowed to get in with a baby, as apparently they don’t allow any under 18’s due to the licensing rules and we are talking at 4pm in the afternoon. I’ve never heard of this rule before, no signs outside the pub or on your website and we felt embarrassed to be turned away just because we are a family. It’s not like we required food for our baby as she is too small and only eats proper baby food and we just wanted to have a quick dinner as our baby was tired and we had to go back early anyway. Thanks for making us walk 20min to another pub which the waitress recommended to us! Disgusting and absolutely ridiculous!! Great start to our first family holiday!

Staying at the Radisson we took a short stroll to find something to eat. What a little gem! It was so very busy but they found us a table and the food was very reasonably priced and really delicious. Extremely pleasantly surprised the find something like this so close to Heathrow Airport.

Just finished my steak and ale pie and my wife has just eaten her Ploughman's. In most pubs you get either quality or quantity, here you get both. Neither of us could finish as the portions were so big.
Very reasonably priced and staff were brilliant throughout. If you want a meal before you fly go here but beware as you may need to declare yourself as excess baggage as you will be so full!!

Sunday most be their busiest day, the place was packed. The pub area had a wait, so we opted for the restaurant. It's a multi-level, open floor with nice tables. Host sat us, way up in a corner table. They brought drinks menu (no prices) and regular menu but host recommend the Sunday special "roast", a 3-course meal. They were out of pork roast (most popular). The lamb roast was just OK. The steak roast was terrible. Meat slices were overcooked, dry, gritty & tasteless. It looked like beef jerky with gravy. The only thing eatable on the plate were the pudding, stuffing & vegetables. The chicken roast was good. Place is over rated, service was non-existent, the prices high, portions huge! The overwhelmed server only made an appearance when it was time for the bill & his tip!

Having had a forced stop over in Heathrow for a couple of days, found the selection of food at the hotel a little limited due to Covid. Decided to try The Pheasant as it was near and the reviews were good: I can see why!
I arrived without booking at 18:30 on a glorious Monday evening to find many of the tables full (always a good sign). There was a reasonable selection of draught beers and I went for the Doom Bar which slid down well on this warm evening.
I opted for desert rather than a starter and went for the Blackened Salmon with Penne pasta, which was excellent. This was followed by Profiteroles which were great, with a mix of cream and ice-cream. What's not to like!
