Great location near shopping, town centrum, castle. Inside is cozy. Service was good and food took about 20 minutes. Waiter spoke decent English. Food was really good! I got the stewed beef with croquettes and my wife got the sheperd’s salad. Prices were fine too,...I posted some pics of the menu with prices in HUF.More
While enjoying a nice dinner, the next 24 hours involved my daughter throwing up quite a bit, and she and I having stomach problems. My daughter and I had chicken dishes, and my wife did not. My wife was fine, fortunately. We can only believe...that the chicken was not prepared correctly, in our two different chicken dishes. What a disappointment, as this restaurant has a great atmosphere. But, who wants to return when you get very sick from the food? For a restaurant and location such as this, in a small town where there are not many food options, a restaurant should take much better care to ensure the food is prepared properly. We won't be going back after this awful experience.More
Galeria Bistro recently remodeled inside and their new design is very comfortable, complete with old pictures of Pápa, wooden decor, and comfortable cushion seatings along one wall. Every time I have dined here, including today, the service has been excellent. I recommend their chicken tortilla,...which is similar to a quesadilla, but with a dressing inside, some cucumber, and chicken. Very tasty. I do not recommend the fish and chips. While it was not bad and I did eat it, it just wasn't fresh or great tasting fish. There is a great selection of food and drink items, and their caramel latte was also tasty. A popular spot right across from the main square and big church.More
I've visited this place a few times, each time disappointed because I want it to be better. It sits next to the grand Roman Catholic church in the main town square, which is why I want to like it. With its traditional atmosphere, a nice...glass of Hungarian wine is the only thing I've really enjoyed. I keep thinking I'll find something on the menu, but alas, most everything is average.More
We visited this little restaurant yesterday 23rd November 2015 for lunch. As soon as we walked in we felt a great atmosphere, the waiter was attentive and helpful. English spoken and the menus as in English. The ambience was superb. Toilets were the best in...Papa, very tastefully decorated. The menu small but giving a good choice and the pricing very good. We will certainly be visiting Galeria again.More
