We very much enjoyed our meal at Sunday lunchtime in this lovely restaurant. The place seemed very popular with both locals and those from further afield. A great selection which left us spoilt for choice. We plumped for the hake and monkfish croquettes and broad...bean salad, followed by suckling pig with apples and cockerel with plum. This was accompanied by a superb wine at a very reasonable price. Dessert , including 'Catalan Cream,' was delicious. A meal that made our last day memorable as opposed to what began as a stop on the way back to the airport. Thank you!More

We found this village whilst out for a drive on Easter monday and this was the only restaurant opened, what a spot of good luck. We were greeted with a smile from the moment we arrived and the staff were excellent throughout our meal. This...is the level of establishment that you would expect to find in a large city in terms of decor, staff, food etc. We were presented with a complimentary glass of cava whilst we looked at the menu, which had a very good selection for all tastes. The fish croquettes were light and delicious and my slow cooked lamb excellent. My colleagues equally enjoyed their choices. At one stage the chef come to our table to check that we were happy with the food. I am looking forward to our next visit. This is definitely one not to miss if you are in the area. Thanks to all for a lovey experience.More

We have been today for lunch. We have ordered some dishes to share. All the dishes were excellent. The quality of the food is very good. We have ordered rice with razors , duck with mango sauce, canneloni of rooster and cod "cocotxas". All tasted...very good. A Catalan very good red wine from Montsant region has been perfect for this excellent food. The dessert has been perfect. The service is very good and the place is very nice. We recommend the experience if you are visiting the Penedes area.More

A friend that lives in Barcelona has recommended us this restaurant. We came to Cal Pere del Maset on Sunday with our 4.5 months old son, we felt like at home. Charming facility with very nice interior. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We asked...for menu and fully enjoyed the wide variety and taste of catalan cuisine. Speaking of food, my favorite ones - artichokes filled with mushrooms and foie, also salad with different types of fish. The meat was great too. My wife's favorites were desserts. The 45 minute drive from our hotel in the center of Barcelona was well worthwhile, definitely would recommend this restaurant to a friend. Altogether, the atmosphere, food and friendly people made our first trip to restaurant with baby a pure pleasure that all 3 of us enjoyed to maximum :) Looking forward to visit again in summer!More

Our host at Recaredo Cellars recommended this restaurant to us. We wanted an authentic Catalan experience. When we arrived at the restaurant, we asked the chef to serve us a tasting menu of his choice. We were then served a varied and beautiful 7 course...meal with gracious service throughout. We had our 2 year old with us and he started to play up, but the staff and other patrons were patient with him as well. Highly recommend to venture off the well trodden tourist paths and head to this beautiful little town.More

It is not easy to find a restaurant in this region of Spain with relevant web page information in several languages useful to the non native. This one is excellent and it seems to be kept up to date. They have traditional items with a...modern twist. Their carpaccio of pigs feet is an excellent example, original to a classic recipe as were the pork cheeks. Their kid goat shoulder moist and tender oozes flavor. They have an extensive wine list and offer some in half bottle. The atmosphere is good and the sound level very tolerable even with a full house. The service was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. furthermore they have the rarity these days of offering fresh fruit for dessert, a most welcome touch after a full Spanish meal. We have visited the main restaurants in town and overall this one is the best for a pleasant experience.More

We went to Cal Pere del Maset on the recommendation of a friend and were blown away with how good it was. The food and the ambiance is top-notch, but at its core, this is a family-run restaurant, and the head chef (Pere) and his...parents (who still pitch in) came out to greet us and check on us throughout the meal. We had a tasting menu and left it to the chef to make departures based on what was in season. I won't recount all the details, but some of the highlights were: - Crepes filled with shredded chicken (or was it rooster?) then covered in a foie gras sauce and seasonal mushrooms. - Hake with mushrooms, romesco sauce and a herb-infused olive drizzle. Fish is seldom prepared so well as this one was. - Solomillo (sirloin steak) with foie gras and truffle sauce, served with a potato puree. The steak was cooked absolutely perfectly and the foie combo literally gave me goosebumps it was so good. - Deserts were an assortment of a few new items, and though I can't describe them each fully, they were all exquisite. I cannot recommend this place more highly. The family is incredibly warm and accommodating. Service is impeccable, and the food is nothing short of phenomenal.More

As mentioned in a previous review, we tour the Recaredo Cava plant, which is another great story, and we given this restaurant as a recommendation. It was GREAT!! The staff went out of their way to provide first class, attentive service. The chef actually went...out to the local mercado because my wife was looking for saffron to use in her paella recipe. Can you picture that happening in any other restaurant!!!!! We had the local soup(which I can't spell). It was a mixture of rice, veggies and meat In a very tasty broth. Our main courses were the angus tenderloin with foie gras and the suckling pig. Both were outstanding. If you get to Sant Sadurni D'Anoia, take the 15 minute ride to this gem of a restaurant.More
