My daughter took her best friend for afternoon tea last Saturday afternoon to celebrate their friendship as she is getting married next Saturday May 20th. She was really excited as it was a surprise. So, to make it extra special I rang the day before to ask what could be done. I was offered 2 glasses of champagne, £19, and... More

Visited for a lunch to celebrate a 90th birthday. The table had been discreetly decorated, and staff wished a happy birthday to the 90 year old. The menu was not huge, a good sign, but still difficult to decide what to choose, but a chat with the knowledgeable waitress proved a help. Seven of us had six different dishes, each... More

First visit to WH Brasserie, we went with an open mind after reading some good & bad reviews. Very impressive location set in lovely grounds the brasserie is a very modern contemporary building that is joined to the old hotel. Warmly greeted & shown to our table that had been tastefully decorated with diamanté fairy lights down the centre of... More

I had waited a long time to have the chance to visit this stunning setting that has been local to me all of my life, although the Brasserie itself in it's present form is still reasonably new. It was a VERY quiet sitting in terms of VERY few other guests dining but in terms of Sound it was far from... More

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday evening dinner here. The food was cooked to perfection and served with a smile by the lovely waiting staff. If you get a chance to eat here, please do - you will not be disappointed and you will be counting the days until you can return!

I don't think I have ever been served with a piece of fish that small for my main course. It was accompanied by six of the very smallest clams ever. They were so small they added nothing in terms of flavour. I started with a Caesar salad. The dressing had no real punch. When I actually found the ONE anchovy... More

This restaurant has good staff, good food and is a nice place for a meal. I would have liked a few more menu choices and this is why I give 4 stars rather than 5.
