This was my wife's first time to France/Paris. This dining experience by far was one of the most memorable moments of the trip. I was treated like a king. We were greeted with such high energy. We were given champagne. We took pictures with the owner and the food was great. The salmon was really awesome. Memorable birthday and honeymoon... More

We turned up on a Monday night without booking at were greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. The atmosphere is friendly and cosy. Starter, main course and desert were all delicious. We had the speciality which is duck or steak cooked on the fireplace in the main restaurant area. I can also recommend the fruit crumble. The service was very... More

We came upon L'Estaminet by happenstance. We were greeted enthusiastically and with humour. The house specialities are prepared over the wood fire. We chose duck and steak respectively, both delicious. We returned at the end of our holiday and were greeted like regulars. Our second meal was as enjoyable as the first. This is not fine dining, just honest good... More

My partner booked this restaurant on the Internet before we embarked on our journey to Paris. Booking through the Internet trip advisor you are able to get a 40% reduction on the total food bill at this restaurant. Entering this establishment you are drawn to the open fire on the far wall which our host cooks on throughout the evening.... More

I found this restaurant online before my trip to Vincennes and thought it was exactly the kind of place I wanted to go to. We showed up at 10:00 PM on a Tuesday evening without reservations and even though they were closing down for the night we were given a table and treated like royalty The meal was very good... More

Reviews had said it was so "French" and indeed it is like a country auberge in the suburbs, but the food was disappointing. The vegetables were served separately and were cold, the beef was nicely pink, but very tough and the portion of duck was small.

What a great experience...owner/chef made dinner very intimate and personal. Small restaurant, traditonal French...steak and duck cooked in fireplace, toasted bread pate gift, wine...great ambience, it is a don't miss inique and delicious experience. not on main street, so ask for directions!

Our advice is in the title. The BO$$ is very friendly. Food is fresh and very excellent. Atmosphere is amazing, authentic. You need to taste the MEAT and the wine is f**** great !! In a word it's the place to be, so frenchy and true. For "connaisseur". lee and eel themselves

I have never written a trip advisor review. But this place deserves one. The scallop starter was absolutely delicious and the wood-fire grilled duck was unbelievably good with its accompanying foie gras sauce. Go. Eat. Enjoy.

I believe that this place is a bit over-rated. It is expensive for food. Very expensive for the gristle that we had.
