A really disappointing lunch....high prices for a canteen style self service restaurants, in a tired and shabby environment including ripped seats and worn table tops. While the food portions were generous, I’d rather less quantity and more taste. Unlikely to return.

Loved the authentic Irish personality of Carol. She had my husband and I laughing at her frankness and bubbly self.

Visited with wife, daughter and friends, a beautiful store reminiscent of the country stores of old, restaurant included, exceptional service, nice menu, great food and great coffee. Every time we visit our daughter at her boarding school nearby, we have to visit Avoca.

Pros: Fresh, tasty food. Good prices. Great service. Beautiful decor. Cons: terrible, hard bread served with pate. Too hot, someone forgot to turn on the aircon or simply open the windows.
