We went here for dinner and decided on a seafood platter which we thought as it's labelled as a seafood restaurant would be lovely, fresh local fish. I asked what was on the platter and I was told there was 'all sorts' such as crabs claws, mackerel, squid and salmon. On the strength of that we ordered it. The crabs... More

The food was average, nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable either, disappointed to find the single vegetarian option on the menu was no longer available, the chef did run up a pasta dish to be fair, however pasta is a very obvious and a bit mundane as a veggie option ! The place itself was a little scruffy but... More

Service was slow, got menus immediately but everything very slow after. Had to ask for order to be taken, waited Far too long for our order to arrive. Food was disgusting, side salad consisted of brown gone-off lettuce and a Caesar-like dressing. Ordered seafood risotto, arrived with 5 small mussels in questionable tomato sauce. child's dinner arrived last, no cutlery... More

Food was ok, waitresses are friendly and doing the best they can however the time frame for service was atrocious, if you want an exceptionally leisurely lunch with mediocre food then I'm sure this would be satisfactory....,.

Went to Kilmore with friends last weekend for Seafood Festival, and it surely was on our plates! Scrumptious selection of fish, prawn and crab, served on a large platter with risotto like rice and fresh green salad. All this 14euro talk about value for money :)I couldn't help myself and took a peek of other people plates, fish and chips... More

Worst seafood chowder I have ever tasted, should have been called vegetable soup. Vast amounts of food left on plates uneaten. Will never eat here again

I stopped here for lunch while visiting Kilmore Quay. The inside of the restaurant had a rustic, nautical atmosphere and wasn't very busy at all. I sat at the bar and ordered fish and chips, and they were some of the best I had during my tour of Ireland. Prices were reasonable (like everywhere else in Ireland, it seems!), and... More

I used to frequent this bar regurlary, although it was a long time ago and I have to say when it was at it finest. However unfortunately it changed hands, and I will not visit again. If it is a drink you are after you will have to move all tableware from your table, we felt awkward and where alone in... More
