The place is informal; outdoors it has tables overlooking the sea and tables in a side courtyard.
The service is simple, the food excellent: we enjoyed an appetizer consisting of typical cheeses and the famous peka octopus.

Although konoba Torkul offers a wide menu, one thing certainly stands out – peka. You have to order this dalmatian delicacy one day ahead and choose between lamb, veal, octopus … it is absolutely delicious! Tender, juicy meat, amazing potatoes and vegetables. Worth coming more than once! The waiters will make you laugh and the prices won’t make you cry.

Decent place with a nice terrace. The food is well prepared. They have meat, fish, soups, salads... the service is efficient. Price for 3 with starters, drinks, main dishes was around 80 eur.

Torkul is a place we've known for a long time. Their “peka” direction has been the main reason for repeated visits we have had. This time we have chosen grilled inkjet and fish plate. Grilled inkjet was tasteless as well as one of the toughest in its class. The fishing plate consists of shellfish, spruce and a small sea bore. Again a shame for a resort with such a rich tradition. We chose mangold as a replacement for head cabbage. Head cabbage has mysteriously ended up on the list of silk dishes as a bad replacement for soybeans and mangosteen. Mangold was cool and the ratio to the potato was 1: 20 in favour of boiled potatoes. We gave feedback on the spot, where the waitress on the spot came with several explanations away to justify the experience. Torkul like most others take this summer 4 € for a half litre of carbonated water!

Bad service. Stressed out service staff who barely cared.
Took clams which were so small and overcooked and only tasted salty.
The roommate took grilled tuna which was over grilled and sloppily served. No spice looked unappetizing

We booked a precooked lamb dish two days in advance, and when we arrived at the restaurant we had to wait over half an hour to be served with the meal which was very greasy and unappetising.
There was no one in attendance looking after us and I can only rate this as very poor.
If you are visiting Prinosten, I would suggest you avoid this restaurant as we had a very disappointing experience.

We didn’t have a reservation but the staff checked for us if they were still serving food as we were quite late (9.20pm) and kindly found us a table. We chose salmon and clam spaghetti and both were excellent . Served piping hot & seasoned perfectly . The house wine was also very good and very reasonable at only 4.40€ for a large glass . The waiter ( tall , dark hair) was lovely , very attentive and polite.
Location great by the beach .
Ignore the poor reviews as does not reflect our visit.
Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Primosten !

We ordered both tagliatelle with schrimps, which was outsanding, the best schrimp-meal I've ever eaten. Besides, the coffee (espresso, cappuccino) was really tasteful.
The restaurant was next to the beach, close to the old town.

The best thing about our dinner was the beer ! The appetizer was OK (prosciutto), as main course my husband chose mussels, we had never had anything so horrible about mussels in Croatia and that right by the sea a shame, I chose meat it was tough and not seasoned. So from because of one of the best restaurants in Promosten, we unfortunately cannot share this view !!!

I hardly do reviews and hardly go back to the same restaurant twice when I am on vacation.
At Konoba Torkul it is really worth it .... the octopus cooked under the ashes is the best I have ever eaten. Staff really nice and helpful and above all attentive to the customer.
Location practically on the beach.

The person who is serving is stupid. The four of us sat down, with two children, and after waiting for 15 minutes without being attended to or even given the menus, the lady came out in a very bad mood saying, “You have to wait because I only have two hands,” as if we were bothering her instead of being customers. We have often visited Primošten since 2008. And every time we have been there we ussually ate in Konoba Torkul. But this year it was different. Konoba Torkul used to be one of the best restaurants in respect of the quality and price. It's a very moderate restaurant but the prices of dishes this year was like in a fancy restaurant. And the portions are smaller than in a ussual restaurant in Primošten.
Offcourse octopus peca is the dish that you must eat in Torkul if you visit Primošten.

While in Primošten, we've visited this restaurant twice in a row, both times everything was excelent - the food (octopus is 5/5, one of the best if not the best I have had ever), the personnel, and the ambient. Also the boss is very sympatic. One of few places you feel is truly authentic and where the food is made with pleasure and love.

Staff was ok. Unfortunately, food was a huge disappointment. We ordered a veal steak. Got our food very fast, after just 15 minutes but the meat was damm hard. We couldn’t even cut it. Vegetables hard too. I can’t recommend this restaurant…

If U like seafood this is one of the nicest places to go in Primosten. Right on the beach as well!
