Over-Stuffed Sandwiches Alpine
Two char-broiled marinated chicken breasts topped with tomatoes, melted swiss cheese and crisp bacon strips served on a kaiser roll

Oven roasted fresh turkey breast, thinly sliced and layered with lettuce, tomato and smoked bacon, served on a croissant
Open Faced Steak Sandwich
Grilled aged delmonico steak heaped with sauteed onions and mushrooms served atop freshly baked garlic bread fire roasted portabella mushroom marinated in balsamic vinaigrette topped with melted swiss cheese, mixed field greens and fire roasted red peppers served on a kaiser roll

Dined at Sarnada's on Valentines Day with my wife and another couple. The restaurant was only 1/3 full that evening, possibly due to the cold weather but more likely to the menu. Unfortunately my wife needed to wear her heavy winter coat throughout the evening...More

The food was excellent and the menu was adequate. The bar mixed very good cocktails and the service was good. Last minute reservations are almost impossible. Parking is difficult at times. Consistency is a big plus. A little pricey but worth it.

Finally...out of business. And, it couldn't have happened to nicer people. The owner was always most unpleasant. And, they didn't think they had to honor their contracts. I hope the successor is much better.

If you call Benner street, you'll get a different answer, the name is now Saranda's on Broadway. The remodeled resturant is lovely and the food terrific. I had short ribs, with wonderful pull apart tenderness, and generous portions. The scallop salad beforehand was marvelous. Hubby...More
