There's a lovely homely feel to this place. The setting is outstanding if a little noisy from the geese! We noticed that the number of 'plates' had decreased since our last visit, but didn't matter as amount of food was plenty for 3 to share 2 breakfasts - with an extra order of fried egg, Turkish style. Love having our own cay samovar at the table. Outstanding spread - tahini esmezi with grape jam. Nice variety of olives & cheese and plenty of bread.
After we'd finished, we walked around the place and discovered a whole world of Sargasso Sea Eels which migrate to this very Lake Bafa. One or two cormorants were certainly enjoying those!

Coach trip to Ephesus stopped here, cute little watermill outside and beautiful views, but the place stunk of cat pee. Didn't want to eat here as I was concerned about hygiene, so just had cup of tea. You don't pay server, she sent me somewhere else, then a guy sent me to a table where the guy comes and collects money, which was weird.

Nice food in beautiful surroundings with view of Bafa Lake.
Stopped here on route back to Bodrum Airport driving from Kusadasi (approx 1 hour drive)
Would recommend the Atom (mezze) if you like chilli

My self and two friends had been visiting the lake today and decided to have lunch. We arrived at the restaurant which looked very charming. Nobody greeted us so we sat down at a table, there were dishes from previous diners, however they were soon removed. A very surly waiter asked us what we wanted (two of us speak Turkish having lived in Turkey many years) we asked to see the menu, he brought the menus. It was quite an extensive menu, but no prices on anything. We asked where are the prices? He said he could tell us the prices!!!! We all agreed that this was not acceptable, he could make up any price. We decided to leave, when we got up and said we were leaving he was very rude. We found a delightful rustic and quirky restaurant next door, The Ada restaurant. The food was delicious and the host welcoming and friendly.

We stopped here for lunch in our way to Efes. The view is fabulous and the food is fantastic. "Self made" olives, local feta cheese, a couple of fresh salads and three different types of homemade Gözlemes composed our meal. The one with minced meat and tomato was our favorite. To drink we had freshly squeezed orange juice.
Highly recommendable.

We went to this restaurant on the way to Ephesus, we stopped there for breakfast. The man that was providing coffee was VERY rude. They gave us instant coffee and powdered milk, absolutely awful. The butter tasted rancid. It’s an awful shame as the views are beautiful. I am hoping that it was bad because the season has not really started. Lesson of the day pack your own food and something to drink as they allow you to do that.

Stopped off on our way to the airport, had two breakfasts, truly Turkish, lovely fresh bread with loads of local produce, we needed a bigger table. Will definitely be back.

Although we've always had good experiences with çeri, we've previously favoured one of the other breakfast places on the lake because even though çeri feels like the best setting to use the other place put on the best breakfast spread.
We've recently discovered that the people who were running that place now run çeri which means it now has everything for us. A laid back, peaceful setting literally on the on water and delicious breakfast.
The family running this place really now breakfast foods and what flavours go into making each dish very special.

Myself and my husband were exploring Bafa lake, so we decided to stop here for breakfast on the way. It’s a beautiful spot with amazing views, breakfast was plentiful and pleasant ( I had the traditional breakfast, hubby had menemen) there was only us and then a Turkish family arrived. Unfortunately the smell was appalling, I think because the lake was low and all the geese were right next to us on the mud the mess they make wasn’t getting washed away. If I hadn’t ordered already I would have left, but didn’t want to be rude!! Typical English woman! However, it really spoilt it and I sadly won’t be going back which is a shame.

Drive too fast and you’ll miss this little gem. The food was excellent and plentiful & the setting right on the edge of Bafa Lake is perfect.
Also has the best loos I’ve seen in Turkey so far!!

We love this area and the views from Ceri, despite the occasional unpleasant whiffs that seem to be getting worse. We’ve been to the restaurant a few times and always enjoyed the food - same again on our most recent visit. However, this time it was very busy and we waited almost 2 hours to be served breakfast.
I think the place is getting more popular but the staff don’t seem to be very organised when it comes to serving the large number of tables that they make available. And, at the end of the day, everyone is ordering more or less the same thing, it shouldn’t take so long to serve customers...

Çeri overlooks Bafa lake, and is in direct sight of a beautiful small island, where one can see some Roman/Bizantine ruins. The menu offers great variety, and I would recommend choosing some of the tradtional Turkish meze, followed by some local fish. The menu includes alcoholic beverages and in general the prices are very ressonable. I recommend unreservedly, especially if you find yourself driving by Lake Bafa. The staff speaks basic English, but are friendly and helpful.

We drove off of the dual carriage way when driving from Söke to Milas, with majestic Bafa lake wonderful to the left, then nearly at the end of Bafa to the left on the round-about and down the road, the restaurant by the lake is easily found.
Easy place with loads of car park places, and a magnificent view of Bafa lake opposite a nearby island surrounded by Bizantine ruins and remais of what could have been someone's great holiday property, in Bizantine days, clear remains of its walls all around the island.
This restaurant is famous for its grilled Eels but none of us were so adventurous as to order this dish at this time.
Staff was very friendly even though no English is spoken but communication went really easily! Menu had both languages Turkish and English.
After we ordered they brought bread, a full-basket, quite tasty 2 varieties -- but the fun of it was to throw to the Lake, to the fishes (so many!!) and ducks and geese and seagulls! The Lake fauna was a show in itself, while we waited for our food!
We started with sigara boregi, 6 units of this cylindrical pastry with cottage-cheese-filling in the format of a cigar hence its name, as well as fried calamari and chips (which spells çips in Turkish and reads exactly the same!)
As main course my daughter went for the popular Turkish shish tavuk, or grilled chicken skewers, and me and my husband went for the same fish, grilled levrek, which they translated as "perch". It came as a whole one, it was rather large, grilled and very tasty, barely any bones all easy to remove!
They served beer, couple of varieties available. I had seftali suyu, or peach juice! And water!
The experience was great, potions were huge, the view was fabulous, staff is nice and friendly and the price is super affordable! And we were there for lunch arriving around 1pm and stayed outdoors, but perfect temperature with the constant breeze!
