Excellent place for both dinner and dessert, not to expencive either. The best mousakka we had, and i was happy that we could choose if we wanted vegetables, salad, rice or french fries on The side. The king prawns was also very good and fresh! A-must-go-to place when in Argostoli.

The service looked like a good restaurant's, but it wasn't exactly that. The food was something between a tavern's and a classy restaurant's. Kind waiters, but not in the real genuine greek way. Lets say it was more in the professional way. I can't say that the food was something extraordinary, although it was generally good. In conclusion, I feel... More

The portions were good enough, and the staff, though a bit serious, was at the same time professional. The dishes were ordinary for a Greek person, but then I guess, Greeks are not the only people this restaurant is aiming at.

Been in Argostoli twice this week and passing by we thought hell why not!! Service was excellent and the food was top notch. Nothing was too much trouble and the waiter asked if we needed English or Italian menus upon entry, I asked if we looked Italian and he said I had a look of an Italian which shot him... More

I found Ampelaki through Trip Advisor and decided to visit one evening after reading a few good reviews. It's a nicely decorated, modern restaurant serving traditional Greek food. We had a three course meal which included the beef stifado and lamb stuffed in vine leaves for the main dishes. The food was nice and quite tasty but nothing special. Overall... More

Decided to have a break from the hotel in lassi and go to argostoli for evening meal. Looked on trip advisor and decided to try Ampelaki, and wow. Very friendly staff great service and reasonably priced food. Sea bass was excellent. The mousakka was very light and traditional Greek style. Would highly recommend for a lovely evening meal

Free wifi, if you are lost. Great service and excellent food. I got a salad with that hard grilled Greek cheese that was so good and my friend got fish caught near by.

Lovely restaurant located 5' walk from Argostoli main square by the sea. The food is simply impeccable, Greek traditional dishes with a modern twist, don't miss the Kefalonian meat pie and Greek Mousaka among others, everything we tried was so good and fresh! Nikos, his wife and the rest of the staff were very attentive and friendly. This was the... More

Argostoli was our last stop on a 24 day cruise (Holland America) from Barcelona to Istanbul through Venice twice! All that to say we wanted one last memorable Greek meal. We found it. The food is traditional Greek. The service was warm and friendly and the beer was cold. My bride and I had a fantastic meal with just the... More
