We were in Kennicott, AK for 3 days and ate 5 meals at the Meatza Wagon. We ordered the whole menu. It was all excellent. Just incredible. My favorite was the fish tacos: so fresh! And that salsa? SO GOOD.
The Meatza Wagon has a perfect location in this unique Alaska setting. Joe's food is delicious! He even grows his own Basil on the dashboard of the truck.Excellent lunch with a perfect view. The meatball sub was sooooo good.
Pleasantly surprised with this local food truck! We wanted something quick to take to our room after a long day of hiking, and something reasonably priced. We hit the jackpot here. The pasta salad was unique and excellent! I didn’t recognize the pasta but loved...it! My husband had the excellent meatball sub and I had the equally tasty salmon BLT. All in all, a great experience and we would highly recommend them. Not sure where he goes in the winter but if I were in Alaska, I’d find out! We’ll done chef!!More

We had two fantastic sandwiches before our tour of the mine. We had limited time, so we appreciated that we could order and eat a meal without rushing, and it's hard to beat the view looking out over the glaciers with the mountains in the...background. Great local flavor!More
The meatza wagon was highly recommended by everyone we spoke to in McCarthy so we didn’t hesitate to try it when we finished a morning hiking up in Kennicott. I had the pulled pork but on salad, my husband had the meatball sub. Good portions,...super fresh and very tasty. Would def recommend! And the view over the glacier makes it a pretty spectacular setting.More
Who would have thought some of the best food in Alaska would be found in a food truck at the Kennicott mine? You can smell the food as you tour the grounds. We ordered the squash panini and the 3 little piggies sandwich. Both were...outstanding. Besides that the views of the mountains can't be beat. Stop here for lunch!More
