I visited this restaurant for lunch while in National Harbor and was disappointed in the overall experience. Food was overpriced and not special, the service was underwhelming. Seems to be a tourist attraction with an excellent location but would not recommend or try again.

Amazing Mexican food with the region of each dish also provided. I had the spicy beef soft taco, which can with a delicious corn side dish plus rice and retried beans. Service was great. I recommend this restaurant.

Well decorated eatery and a wonderful bar. I had a brew while waiting for my take-out order. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating as I awaited my order of Quesadilla and ceviche.

Carne asada very chewy and fatty. Extremely disappointing. Was looking for way to a good Mexican meal but sadly disappointed. Waitress nice, but terrible service. Didn't return to table for at least 45 minutes and took over twenty minutes to figure out bill. On business...More

The guacamole was excellent. The salsa was very good too. The stacked nachos were tasty, but luke warm. The enchiladas were luke warm and the red sauce tasted like marinara instead of chile!

In 1984, Rosa Mexicano set a new standard for Mexican cuisine when it first opened on the upper east side of New York City. Playing a leading role in defining what was then a "new" cuisine to American diners, Rosa Mexicano delivers authentic Mexican cooking in an accessible, stylishly festive atmosphere. Rosa Mexicano's menu features a range of award-winning signature dishes, including our Guacamole en Molcajete, in a traditional lava rock mortar. Described by Time Out New York as "green ecstasy in a stone bowl," it is prepared table side and served with house made chips, warm corn tortillas and condiment salsas. Rosa Mexicano is also known for the Frozen Pomegranate Margarita, as well as the stylish and festive ambiance that includes an illuminated water wall.
