We eat at Rosa Mexicano every time we visit National Harbor. As with previous visits the food and service were both very good. The place was very busy at 5pm on a Sunday but our party of four adults and two children were seated almost...More

This restaurant overlooks the harbor and has beautiful floor to ceiling windows. The table side guacamole is prepared to your liking and the roasted salsa has just the right amount of heat. The waitress recommended the pork shank and it ranks among the top 10...More

We had a group of about 50 or so with the back room reserved. Good food, but I'm not sure about the order as what we were told to expect and what was served we're different.

Franco was our server. A very nice person. My husband ordered a sangria. Mom and I ordered a Malbec Mom enjoyed the Empanadas. I had the Quesadillas camarones. Too cheesy. My dad had Tacos.

The restaurant is lively and beautifully decorated (simple yet vibrant), and if you get the opportunity to dine on the terrace at sunset overlooking the water, you're in for a treat. I think most Mexican restaurants are known for overly named dishes, and decor, and...More

Guacamole made at your table is great. The food tastes good, though gave us heart burn burps later which I usually don't get. The service was good. The cleanliness of the table upon our arrival needed some help. Our bill seemed rather high but close...More

After our horrible experience at Cyclone Anaya's I both craved Mexican food and was nervous to have horrible Mexican food again. But alas, we decided on Rosa while spending the day at National Harbor. First impression of the place was that it was wayyyyy larger...More

THE FOOD Warning: This is not your typical Tex/Mex place! Went with a friend on a beautiful week night. Sat at an inside table over looking the water which had magnificent views. They also have two separate outdoor dining areas. Ordered the table side guacamole...More

Description
In 1984, Rosa Mexicano set a new standard for Mexican cuisine when it first opened on the upper east side of New York City. Playing a leading role in defining what was then a "new" cuisine to American diners, Rosa Mexicano delivers authentic Mexican cooking in an accessible, stylishly festive atmosphere. Rosa Mexicano's menu features a range of award-winning signature dishes, including our Guacamole en Molcajete, in a traditional lava rock mortar. Described by Time Out New York as "green ecstasy in a stone bowl," it is prepared table side and served with house made chips, warm corn tortillas and condiment salsas. Rosa Mexicano is also known for the Frozen Pomegranate Margarita, as well as the stylish and festive ambiance that includes an illuminated water wall.
