We decided to try this place. It is one big square room, with many tvs that face into the center of the room, not comfortable viewing for anyone because the tables are placed randomly in the room and along the walls. There doesn't seem to...be any sound proofing anywhere, as it is loud and hollow, like you are in a tin can. We had the nachos - big mistake. The cheese was a goopy, saucy mess with little brown pieces of dry meat ... horrible food.More

This was our second visit since the new owners took over. First outside in June, they did a nice job working out outdoor eating and entertaining. They even had music last weekend, in December. If I was only going for beer and music yes. But...food yuk! The burger I got this summer tasted just like a meatball-not good. I thought I'd try again but just couldn't do it. So butternut soup, tasteless and way to much cream. Wings, tender but drowned in sauce. Drowned. The natchos were just a velvita goopy mess. I hate watered down sourcream sauce too. The cheapest thing you can buy is fresh jalapenos, go for it! Canned didn't make it. The best thing I got there in June was the cheese board but it isn't on the menu now, too bad.More

Service was fine - food was not good- fried food tasted as if the oil had not been changed in quite some time - marinara sauce was not good - the hummus is spicy (not classic as the menu indicates) - the chicken bruschetta was...okMore

I had a Reuben Sandwich for dinner and it did not disappoint. The waitress was quick with the drinks. The decor is a bit dated, but its very clean and everyone is friendly. Excellent little Irish Pub!

Went to McGettigans since it was close to where we were staying. Went during Happy hour, unfortunately they charged $4 for bottle of beer. My wife both ordered burgers which were very good and tasty but they charged extra for lettuce and tomatoes. The waitress...was very friendly.More

Since they added the new Bartender Ed, about 2 years ago it’s been much better. He actually introduces a lot of people who sits at his bar. My Wife have and I have met numerous people here. People stop here from all over. The other...nite, a group of People from London came here, recommend too, and we all sang all nite ,had a gr8 nite. And let’s not forget our Kimmy. Best waitress here. Always recommending different dishes. Burgers and FF with brown gravy over it is to die for. I hear rumors that a new owner may be coming in. If they lose either one of them, they are going to lose two assets to this place. And may even lose a few customers too. Keep up the Fun and Gr8 times.More

This was the closest to our hotel so that made it convenient. The prices are good and the servers friendly. However they were understaffed so the food came slowly. All in all I would say it's an OK place to eat but nothing special.

Now I don't mind "dives" as long as they have decent food. I really don't think this place would be around if not for the location near the golf course. If anything, maybe its' good for drinks at the bar. Anyway, no other tables eating,...but a few men at the bar. I ordered a burger and since the menu didn't specify lettuce & tomato, I requested it. Forgot what my husband ordered (either a B.L.T. or tuna sandwich), but I really can't believe what we were served. A low-quality, smallish burger on a generic, stale bun. Reminded me of the burgers that are served in High School cafeterias, yes, that bad. The lettuce & tomato were added for an upcharge of .50. Same for hubby. Smallish sandwich on generic, low quality stale-ish bread. We actually laughed at the plates after the waitress walked away! Service was eh. Won't be back.More

Title does not do it justice, as they have a nice menu; however, we've been there strictly for lunch. Have returned several times following photography trip visits to nearby Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I've had sandwiches a few of the times, and they've been excellent....Their homemade soups (various varieties I've tried) do not disappoint. The only thing I've had that I wasn't over the moon on was the Shepherd's Pie. It was okay, but I've had better (and I don't mean in the UK). Was kind of bland and lacked a cheese or other topping that would have set it off. I would not order that again. I only mention it because it's billed as a house specialty. I will definitely return for the things on the menu I enjoy, and I definitely recommend the place. Prices are reasonable and well worth what you get.More
