We got takeaway kebabs here during our visit to Lismore. They were very tasty and we enjoyed them very much. It looks like a really nice restaurant with a large selection of authentic Aisan meals. I would like to go back there if we are back in this area.

We arrived without at a reservation but we were quickly accommodated and tables were joined together to fit our group. The atmosphere was quite and cosy and the staff were polite and kind at all times. Overall offering amazing service. We ordered a variety of dishes and every one of them was delicious. I have been to many indian restaurants... More

The food, a lamb bhuna and a chicken madras was too hot (chillie) which killed any flavour it may have had.

Saffron had a buffet style dinner special on to celebrate their 10 year anniversary last month. The food was divine. Really tasty, really well priced and genuinely good value.

Only Indian in Lismore was a disappointment. Food was dry and lamb was tough and overcooked. Service was fine, but woudl not recommend.

Very good food - and for once in an Indian- plenty of it. I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We used to run a B&B in the area and many of our guests ate here and all commented on how good it was. Highly recommended.

Primarily, of course, the food, which is fresh, bursting with flavour, and gluten-free. I would highly recommend the Sagwala, or anything with King Prawns, which are excellent quality, plump, fresh, large and juicy. Be prepared that everything is cooked to order, so don't expect an instantaneous dinner. Abu is a kind, gentle, discreet, professional maitre-d.And you can bring your own... More

Family meal on the last night in Lismore. We booked a table and were advised to BYOB as they have no alcohol licence. We had the platter to share which was excellent - samosa, onion bhaji, shish kebab and a pork element which was absolutely delicious. Chicken pasanda, chicken tikka masala, lamb dish and I can't remember the fourth (spicy)... More

We have eaten in Saffron many times and had numerous take away meals from here also. It never disappoints and Abu and his staff are always courteous and kind and the service and ambience are excellent. The food is always delicious and as we have lived in Bangladesh in the past we love the cuisine from that part of the... More
