Traditional Moldovan food at high prices. Extensive menu with typical products such as sweet and savory cakes, meats and stews of all kinds and delicious soups. The eggplant salad is great and so is the traditional chicken and noodle soup.
The duck with red berries is exquisite not to mention the apple or cherry pies.
Good wines but well above their price.

The restaurant is all nice. We were so hungry. One of the meals we ordered it was so 🧂 salty. Like someone poured 100 grams of salt in that meal. Otherwise nice.

Despite the great looking location and traditional menu, I was very disappointed by the way personnel treated our table and order. When we placed the order (nothing fancy btw) we been told food will be ready in 20 min and the drinks in 5, we thought wow, great, by the time we chatted with friends it passed like 40 min to receive the drinks, later on they brought one of the orders messed up, then they came back with same dish also wring, not as per our order. Overall, after one+ hours we still did not had any food on the table. We asked the personnel what's going on, and they barely said a simple sorry, not even trying to accommodate us or suggest that the food is on the way., or feel kind of sorry for the situation, seems that they are very used to such scenarios when people are frustrated and asking questions on the terrible service they provide.
After 1h and 20 minutes, we left and decided to give up on waiting our order.
Don't waste your time going to that place.

Delicious meal represents the heart of Moldovan cuisine and culture!
The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, comfortable and stylish at the same time.
Service is very careful and can help you in making up your mind among the several delicious dishes on the menu.
Anyway you cannot mistake because everything you choose is very good and originally prepared, the entrees, the fresh fish, grilled meat and the desserts.

It's not a serious restaurant, we reserved a table at 19 for 6 people, when we arrived at 19:50 they said that the kitchen doesn't work anymore. even if they work till 23:00. It was a terrible experience because we travel 50km to eat there:(. so I definitely don't recommend this location for their service and attitude.

The restaurant has a very fancy and classy style with very chick atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly. They perfectly accommodated us with our young kids. The food was delicious. We ordered few dishes from the menu , we wanted to discover moldovian food . Every dish were beautifully made and served. Everything was done with quality. ! On top of that, the prices is more than decent.!

Perfect as always!Must try chicken soup ,fish dish and ”placinta” .Restaurant with big heart and good energy!
Came here 4 times and would come again if i had time.

Been there for a Birthday Party and the service was really really bad, we had like 4 different waiters serving us and no link between them, it took forever to get our food ready and when we changed the table they literraly forgot about us or bringing our food and wine from the previous table. Also not a cheap place and for that you expect proper service. Food was ok though.

We were very happy to be able to enjoy traditional local cuisine coupled with great service! I would definetely go back and try more specialties from the menu. If you are looking for authentic experience of Moldova I strongly recommend La Badis

We stopped at this place after researching good options around the area, it was by far the best alternative. The place is large and nicely decorated. We had soups, colțunași and rabbit with noodles, the food was fantastic, so clean and creamy. Prices were in line with the food.

First time we went there was over 11 years ago when it was still named "Cismiaua Calugarului" and much smaller ! They changed many things since then: built a very large room for special occasions, added many outside tables, improved the decor; only the food hasn't changed: it's still one one the best place to taste the local dishes.
Never once have we been let down in over 10 visits at any time of the day (be it just the two of us or along with 100+ invitees -for our wedding !)
It's a bit away from Chisinau (~30km) so you may go there solely for the restaurant (but you could !) but if you happen to be around you really should stop and treat yourself to a great Moldovan meal !
