We chose this restaurant after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. We had a table overlooking the river and the mountains behind. We could have taken our dog in but we would have had to sit in another area. Their food was delicious.

Nice and busy restaurant in a lovely town. The service was a bit slow but very friendly and helpful. The local stew was delicious as were the fish dishes and cheeses. They also were accommodating of my wife's gluten free requirements.

We went twice we liked Casa Cayo so much. Seafood was terrific - we sampled hake, squid, and salmon. All were fresh and elegantly prepared. Ambiance and views over river are also excellent. Go early for best choices in seating - this place fills up for lunch!

Casa Cayo was recommended to us by several people. It did not dissapoint us. Lovely riverside location in the heart of Potes with a good choice of local produce and very reasonable wine prices. The portions are large and we were advised to share a starter which was plenty and then we shared a seafood platter and struggled to finish!... More

Food is your average tourist stuff but service brisk and not particularly friendly. Not sure how this is rated third on trip advisor.

Casa Cayo is easy to find in the centre of the attractive old town Potes. The restaurant is fronted by a busy and lively bar serving a good range of beers and wines. On our two visits all was consistent. Go through the bar and you find a nice restaurant with an interesting menu including some regional dishes. The atmosphere... More

We ate in the restaurant for each of our 3 nights in the hotel. Excellent food, typically Spanish and a great choice of dishes. The fish was fantastic. Portions are enormous so you may wish to share a dish. The food is very good value and the wine is cheap. The service was very good. The restaurant is very busy... More

Most places were empty on our night in Potes but this place was packed. Great local menu and prices reasonable. Our waitress was very efficient and had a sense of humour which we appreciated. I have read other reviews saying different but we found her great. Beware. Portions are massive
