My husband and I were staying along the road at The Boat hotel where the food was fine, but not special. We had a lovely evening at Anderson's - a fantastic menu, beautifully presented, and served by attentive and friendly staff. They went to the trouble of adapting a dish to suit me - a vegetarian - which was much... More

We had never heard of this restaurant before and we were very pleased with the outcome. We visited on a Wednesday evening when pies were served in addition to the normal menu. The service was very good as was the food.

Located a short drive off the A9 near Aviemore this Restaurant offers a superb choice of meals both at lunchtime and evenings. Can get busy so worth booking in advance. Attentive staff and cooking area on view to diners.Local beers on draught. Good sized portions so beware if ordering starters, you may not be able to manage dessert! Would recommend... More

Have visited this area for over 30 odd years and can't believe I missed this hidden gem; The food, staff and not to forget the chef are all fist class. It is well worth a short detour from anywhere. The menu is extensive as is the wine list. Difficult to find fault since there wasn't any.

We were staying 40 minutes south of Boat of Garten whilst celebrating my mother in laws 70th birthday at the end of October. We fancied a nice meal so checked out TA and stumbled across this place. We managed to (luckily) get booked in. I wondered what I had let us in for when we had to wait 20 minutes... More

As we were passing through the area on route north I found this restaurant on here & we booked lunch for 1pm. Unfortunately the traffic & roadworks slowed us down a little & we phoned to advise we would be about 20 mins late. We were told that "should" be ok & continued on our way. When we arrived at... We have just returned from a delicious meal at Anderson's. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food on offer was delicious. The menu is small but not limited and there was something for all tastes. Be sure to try the homemade ice-creams to finish off a lovely meal.

WelcomeWhether you've something to celebrate, are at the end of a hard day's walking in the hills, or simply fancy a break from cooking at home, it is our wish at Anderson's that you all feel welcome. Forget pretence, the atmosphere here is relaxed and informal, so sit back, switch off, and savour the pleasure of great food and drink. Local Produce At Anderson's we are committed to using local Scottish produce when it is in season, so needless to say, our menu changes each month, along with our daily specials. Each dish is lovingly prepared and bought together in such a way as to bring out the very best of truly great, fresh ingredients. Although our menu is creative, our aim is simple, to present you with food that we are confident you will enjoy, and that tastes fantastic.Family Friendly The whole family is welcome at Anderson's, and it is important to us that everyone can tuck into something they will enjoy. So for children we can either offer half portions of anything on the menu, or for specific likes or dislikes, please feel comfortable to say, and the chef will be happy to come up with something to suit- within reason! Similarly please make us aware of any special dietary requirements you may have.“It’s great to see a restaurant like Andersons opening up in Boat of Garten. Owners Steve and Claire have put a huge amount of thought and effort into their set up, and their intended philosophy of utilizing the best of Scottish produce should be a real boost to the local restaurant scene. I wish them every success for the future.” Nick Nairn
