We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and what a gem we found in the General Havelock! As you walk through the door you receive a friendly welcome. Although we arrived quite late for lunch there was still a very good choice and the...More

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I have dairy intolerance and they took time and effort to make sure my meal was suitable. The portions were good sized. A good place to stop on the A69

What a find! As a person who really has to be in the mood for a roast dinner, The General Havelock changed my mind. We were after somewhere in the Hexham area, not too pricey, dog friendly, homemade and gluten free friendly and certainly found...More

Had lunch here yesterday. This friendly establishment offers wonderful traditional English Fayre. No fancy names or ingredients - just excellent food served in beautiful garden surroundings (nice indoor seating area as well). Very good attentive service. Thoroughly recommend.
