We went here for a meal saturday night having lived here for nearly 10 years and been constantly disappointed with every single pub we have visited. This place is undergoing an extension but the renovations so far are very pleasing and as it was saturday there were no builders in attendance, although the outside area under construction was well closed... With alot of birthdays in March and April we often get together as a family to eat out sometime over the 'birthday season'. Having been to the Rydon Inn before and enjoyed the whole experience I suggested this as the venue. With a 4 year old and my husband who, because of his health, is unable to eat a meal... More

First impressions are very good upon arrival, plenty of space and very clean. The menu was plentiful and varied and the staff were extremely polite and eager to help with any request. My chicken wing starter was a large portion of quality, fresh wings that actually tasted like a quality bred chicken. A fantastic start. My pork chop and risotto... More

4 of us ate here Saturday night, staff friendly and helpful, found us a table to allow our dog to sit quietly with us. Garlic mushrooms and cheesy (very) garlic bread to start with were divine. Butterfly chicken on new potatoes and veg in a creamy bacon sauce, was excellent. Good selection of beers, wine at a great price. We... More

We were in a large group and had a Sunday roast. Service was very efficient and the orders were all taken correctly and special request dealt with. The food was of good quality and was served quickly. The only downside I would say was that there still seems to be some building work going on and although this did not... More

Was blown away by the presentation and quality of our meals. Fantastic food highly recommend. My scallops were cooked to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised by the total bill cost.

Went with family for a meal, which was very nice, huge helping, which we could not finish. Rack of ribs were really nice with home made-proper chips.

Currently this Inn is being extended. Good food is served. My wife and I enjoyed our brief stay that evening.

It would be unfair to judge the Rydon Inn on its lack of ambience at the moment as, when we were there for lunch, they were doing major works extending the conservatory dining area and the normally pleasant view was obscured by building materials and builders. Constant hammering by the roofer was also a distraction for diners and may have... More

IF you come to this pub on the outskirts of Holsworthy for a meal then you will leave hungry to come back again as soon as you can. Quite simply the food is superb which may go a long way towards explaining why the Rydon Inn is extending its existing lower dining area on both sides. Our table offered unrivalled... More

Description
The Rydon Inn is a converted traditional Devon Long House, it has been beautifully developed, with high vaulted ceilings exposing all the beam work in the main pub area, this also includes an unconventional thatched bar. The idealiac conservatory eating area over looks our large landscaped gardens and peaceful lake which houses outdoor seating for those long summer evenings. There is a pool table to keep you and the kids entertained. If you would like something a little more private we have our restaurant in the original part of the Devon Long House, which is ideal for more secluded smaller group meetings or dinners.
