My husband brought me here on one of our first dates. It has been a favourite of mine ever since. The food is simple but so very, very tasty and the view is unbeatable. The family staff are always friendly and attentive. I can think...of no other venue that is similar or rivals our favourite Viklari.More

This was recommended by friend and didn’t disappoint. It is not fine dining. It is rustic and wholesome. We turned up without booking and we’re looking enough that the owner told us that she had the barbecue on and we could have Chicken and Pork...and some chips. It was lovely, juicy and just what we wanted, cold beer, a carafe of wine and the views. Oh the views. Yes photos below, make your own mind up. We will go back. Remember it is lunch only and closes at 5. And now for the photos....More

Firstly the venue its self is stunning and is worth the trip. The food is simple and straightforward as mentioned in many of the review. We travelled as a family of 7 and found the portion sizes to be small. That said the food was...nice and the chips were amazing. The drive to the venue was described as "for four wheeled drives only", I think this is more of an insurance issue if you have a hire car. So check your policy. We took it slow and found no issues with navigating the road in our Ford Focus. In the car park were smaller Fiesta and Audi A1 style cars as well as beach buggies etc. The staff were kind and attentive, however they only have 2 highchairs and if they are in use you have to wait. Also the majority of the alcohol is bottles and cans. Which is fine, but some people may expect a larger drinks menu.More

We visited Viklari (Last Castle) 2 days ago by car as the roads are much better to access now. We has a big table for 10 people and ordered our drinks and food. Mixed meat BBQ salad and giant chips. Again it was lovely and...the views over the Akamas and the sea were to die for !! A very enjoyable day out.More

A bit of a pain to get to, along some questionable roads. But it’s well worth it. Great views and a simple barbecue menu - Pork, Chicken or both with fresh salad and home made chunky chips. Simple food, brilliantly done.

Bit of a drive to get here but well worth it. Don’t go if you are fussy as the menu is very limited. Pork and chicken with massive chunky chips and salad. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Service great although a bit of a wait as...the meat is done on the barbecue. It gets very busy and if we came again would book a table although we were seated pretty quickly. Would deffo recommend 👍More

We dined late afternoon and did book. Lucky to arrive just as someone was leaving and we quickly jumped into the cliff side seat. Lovely bean stew for veggies like me, fresh bread, chips and salad. I could have eaten more but didn’t want to...ruin it. A must visit you won’t regret it!More

Finding Viklari on the way to Avakas Gorge is like an oasis in the dessert. You will see it from afar on the hill like o fortress in green. Food is barbecued pork, lamb and chicken. Excellent quality and service. It closes at 5 last...orders at 3pm.More

Another visit to one of our favorite places to eat anywhere in the world. We love the simplicity, food quality and outstanding views. A must visit if you are in Paphos region and combine with quad bikes a dip In the sea at Turtle beach...and you will struggle to have a better day anywhere. Don’t know how they make the legendary chips and with the BBQ pork and chicken with fresh salad of a glass of Vasilikon is quite simply fantastic. Well be backMore
