We visited a couple of times whilst on holiday in Peyia in 2015, and this year also. My partner and i both had the meze which was to die for. The meats were sooooo good and the salad was lovely. You have to try this place!

Good traditional Cypriot food, Greeted by the waiter who knew the menu off by heart and let us know what they had on offer. We both opted for a Mezze, lots of food but all good and cooked fresh. Service was prompt and friendly.

We now live in Peyia, and have visited this lovely restaurant a few times. The food is wonderful, as is the service. If you like a sunset, book a table outside around 6.30 pm. Amazing.

I was a little disappointed with my visit. We came on our anniversary for a quiet Cypriot meal. We were greeted by a grumpy waiter. We asked for a menu only for him to real off a list of foods. All meat! The only vegetarian option was halloumi. Very simple: Greek salad, hummus and pita followed by your choice of... More

Well I liked it! My food was good and seemed to be very local, very traditional. The reason I've had to knock it down was the limited menu and the poor choice for fussy eaters. Or vegetarians as they're collectively known! My wife's a kind of vegetarian, loves fish, occasionally eats chicken or turkey. There was no menu as such.... More

Small traditional tavern. Great setting, food was great. Had meze, which just kept coming! Loved it all.

For me probably the best place to eat in peyia. You will never go hungry and they have the best halloumi cheese I have come across. If you like your meat then I suggest the meze

Great tasty food, not one for Veges like me but the standard of what we got was very high. Could be five stars if they could grill a few Veges up and serve that as an option.

Description
“Peyia Tavern” is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the “Traditional Special Meat Meze”, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way (on the charcoal). The Special Meze is served one dish at a time by the Taverna staff which are family members. Be careful not to over face yourself with the bread, salad, dips and pourgouri (traditional couscous) which is served as an appetiser prior to the meat dishes. Also the taverna serves traditional dishes like "Halloumi", "Sieftalia" and "Stifado".
