We always come to peyia tavern when we are in Cyprus the meze is lovely. As it was so cold out we sat inside where there is a log fire. We would both recommend a visit to peyia tavern.

A must if staying in area gets very busy but they always can fit you in! Most people seem to opt for the meat meze very filling it just keeps coming only odd is it's served with chips. Another family owned restaurant that's been in the same family for years. Nice village wine and very reasonable prices.

Little to complain about really as everything was very nice, but we didn't feel welcome and a bit out of place. Shame.

Perhaps we misremembered. No - this was a real find many years ago and a meze was a feast. This time we regret - the welcome , the charm and the food were disappointing.

Been coming here for a few years now and although nothing has changed, it is till a great experience. No menus inside, although on wall outside, but you tend to get to know what you like. Is traditional and cannot say we have been disappointed any time we have been. We visited later in season so everyone was inside. Was... More

Don't be put off by the rustic exterior and bars on the windows - this local eatery is all about good quality local food and drink at very reasonable prices.

Great meza in real old fashioned restaurant. No WiFi no menu just the waiter. Lovely views over the sea great to see a good sunset.

This is quite a basic village restaurant seling good quality food in a nice friendly environment. One of the best things is the menu. When you ask to see the menu, the lovely waiter says, 'I AM the menu'! Then tells you what is on offer. Everyone cheers and claps. Very fun indeed. Mezes, meats, fish are all available and... More

Our friend advised us this place. He've been here for couple times. Of course it's nice that the owner comes to your table and welcomes you. But I don't like the absence of the menu. This leads to quackery - you can't see the price and description of a dish and to make informed choice. I noticed that people who... More

“Peyia Tavern” is a family restaurant and is highly recommended, here you will have the opportunity to sample the “Traditional Special Meat Meze”, great dish for the meat lovers. The meat is cooked in the traditional Cypriot way (on the charcoal). The Special Meze is served one dish at a time by the Taverna staff which are family members. Be careful not to over face yourself with the bread, salad, dips and pourgouri (traditional couscous) which is served as an appetiser prior to the meat dishes. Also the taverna serves traditional dishes like "Halloumi", "Sieftalia" and "Stifado".
