Wow, this place is terrific!

Wow, this place is terrific! First step is to get a reservation. Once there Nikos will handle the rest. We will think of the fresh soft feta paired with the Corfu tomatoes forever. The fresh scorpion fish prepared traditionally (Bianco) was over the top. No request or whim was too great and the service was perfect. Rarely do I have food envy but I wanted to take a small taste from everything he served the tables around us. Judging from the mix of locals, Greek tourists and other tourists the place appeals to all. Only disappointment was not being able to secure a reservation the evening prior.

Fabulous meze and fish dishes!

8 of us came here and had a lovely evening, a choice of meze starters including a smoked aubergine purée, tzatziki, a lovely warm leek dish, anchovies and Octupus, we then shared the fish Blanca, fish traditional and fish bourade which was slightly spicy, all were so very very good. Staff lovely and helpful and house wine great. Do recommend! We will be back!

best experience for local cuisine

Very nice small restaurant in the heart of the small village of Benitses. The restaurant was suggested from the hotel we stayed nearby (eleals boutique) and they arranged to have a table. The place was full however the service was exceptional and all of the people were really friendly and kind. The food was so authentic that we visited the restaurant also out last evening on the island. We had most of the things on the menu but the octopus stole our heart!! All the best to these place!

Average. Not the best fish restaurant in Corfu!

The food was ok. I wasn't convinced this is under the same ownership as in the previous reviews. It came recommended by a Corfoit but there are other restaurants in the village that would be far higher recommended. The service was very good though the food just doesn't live up to the rhetoric of the best fish in Corfu. It was fine but nothing special.

Yes the ownership is the same since we opened in 1997. Our food is renowned for using the freshest ingredients and also well executed traditional recipes. For some this I'd nothing special. For others this is hard to come across these days...

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Benitses. The food is excellent - fish and seafood are specialties. We were pleased to notice that they didn’t compromise their standards when they politely declining to serve chips to customers on a nearby table. It seemed to be necessary to book and they appear to fit two informal sittings into the evening, leaving a choice of 7.00 or 9.00pm. But this is Greece, so 9.00 was fine.

Great Greek food

Really nice restaurant in terms of the architecture and aesthetics of the restaurant. Food is traditionally Greek and clearly has an experienced chef cooking the food. There is limited tables so you will need to book in advance. We had to book 2 nights ahead as they were fully booked.

Make a reservation and don’t miss out on dinner at this outstanding restaurant.

This hidden gem was a recommendation from a local who described to food as outstanding and the service as exceptional - they were not wrong. The menu has something for everyone but fish lovers are in for a treat. We chose a whole grouper to share - cooked to perfection in a local sauce and served with boiled potatoes. Great service and very knowledgeable about the source of their fish. Enjoy!!!

Great traditional greek seafood!

Went twice with our 3yo son while on holiday in July, recommended by our friend who lives in Corfu. The food is impeccable, the service is great and friendly and the prices very reasonable for the quality. Octopus stew with pasta, fish bianco and fish bourdeto, courgette balls and calamari are at another level.. By far the best seafood in Corfu...

Another 5 star meal at Klimataria. The food is genuinely delicious, traditional Greek cuisine at its finest. A lovely family run restaurant that is a must visit. All ingredients are fresh, staff could not be more welcoming. It’s what a restaurant experience should be all about! We hope we can visit again soon. What a treat!

The best Seafood restaurant in all of Benitses

I have been to multiple restaurants in and around Benitses and this seafood restaurant is the best. I highly recommend their Octopus starter, fantastic! They have a nice wine selection as well as liquor choices. Most all of the dining is outside with provides for nice people watching as well as beach and water observing. The staff are friendly and professional. It fills up quickly so reservations are highly recommended. Lastly one of the waiters rescued a dog, Beethoven, which loyally waits outside the restaurant until his shift is over.

STUNNING SEAFOOD - best in south corfu

This is my favourite place in south Corfu. The food is impeccable - made from the finest produce. The tomatoes are the best I’ve tasted in my life (and I am from Greece!) and the octopus stifado is potentially what I would order as my last meal on earth. The location is romantic and wine brilliant. Don’t miss this place.

Overrated in some reviews. We consulted them before going there and ended up rather dissappointed. Small portions. One octopus leg and 1 boiled potatoe for octopus baked in the oven with potatoes. Prices somewhat higher than similar restaurants in Benitses. Nice white wine.

Only one octopus leg... correct. But you must have been enjoying the nice wine cause you lost the count on the potatoes. Anyway is it really possible that the grand majority is wrong? Or can it be that you don't agree with the grand majority, which is fine.

Our best meal in both Greece and Corfu

We came here for the last meal of our honeymoon and it didn't disappoint. We ordered marinated anchovies, a smoky aubergine dip, bread, octopus pasta, calamari and seabass (we wanted to order more!). The anchovies were amazing, the dip was divine, the octopus had such a great depth of flavour, the seabass was so fresh and perfectly cooked with yummy potatoes and the calamari was a generous portion and very well cooked. Despite all the savoury food we ordered, we also had cheese cake which was by far the best I have ever had; the cheese was so fresh! We also ordered a lovely Greek chardonnay which was very tasty, The service was friendly and professional. We will be back whenever we next find ourselves on Corfu.

The passion for quality food shines!

We booked this place after being turned away a few days earlier. You can tell the family that run it are passionate about quality food. My wife had the octopus (oven style) and i had baby squids better than the rings normally found. We also had king prawns that were cooked in a light dusting of flour that helped retain the flavour. To complement we had greek salad and olives which also were perfect. Lovely food! Benitses has some great restaurants and standards are high as they all compete on the same patch, however this restaurant is more traditional "home cooked" style and shouldn't be missed for that special meal.

Great ingredients beautifully cooked

Our hotel recommended this place and we ended up going twice as it was so good (definitely the best of the 3 we tried in Benitses- although the others weren’t at all bad.) The dishes are mainly traditional local dishes really well cooked and with really good ingredients. It’s also worth saving space for dessert! It got busy and the place isn’t very big so it worth making a reservation.

As we have said many times our main priority is the sourcing of the best local ingredients and offering them at reasonable prices.
