The fact that was in the front street made us hesitate. However, it proved to be away better than we thought. Pleasant space. Good service. Fresh fish at a reasonable price and great portions. Though, one of the plates was a bit flavourless. The plates don't bring anything aside apart from a sort of salad. However, there are plenty of options to choose from and not that expensive. Since the portions are quite generous, we ended up ordering more than we needed. Two plates and a maximum of two side dishes would be more than enough for both of us.

Well, this place deserve to be in top 5. We are in Thassos the 6th time. Always we ate here. Always the staff is very kind and carrefully, the food is really tasty. I recomand this place

Our first stay ever in Thasos was at Sparti Apartment which incidentally belongs to the owner of the restaurant. So on our last day on the island we decided to check out the food. The place is big, seating any number of people, it’s well aired as it can get hot and there’s a certain buzzing feeling about it. The menu is full of everything you can think of or want, even though they promote their seafood specialties, they can make you just about any international dish you can think of. We got the grilled squid with french fries for me and with cheese-bacon potatoes for my wife. The waiter said the squid was for 1 person but the size was huge and enough for 2 persons. The cheese-bacon potatoes were the same. As far as grilled squids go, it was very well made and very tasty, using only simple seasoning At the end we got two mini ice creams to go The staff is also very attentive and well mannered given the large number of customers. I recommend you give this place a try if you’re in the area

We were 4 adults with a baby, the Waiter seated us on a table for 8 peopele, 5 min. Later while we were waiting to be served, an older duchebag came (probably the owner) and said the table is for 8 people and it is reserved, got nervous pretty quickly and was inapropriately rude. After his idiotic demeanor, we got up and left, just to sum it up there are much more friendlier places on the Island if you skip this one you will not miss a thing.

Going by the hundreds of positive reviews we chose Thassian Doukas to eat. I had the stifado - a big chunk of meat boliled and then put through the sauce. No taste, just veal boiled. My frieds had fried calamari which tasted as good as the frozen ones you buy from the store and roasted lamb which was made of 2 pieces: one was only bones and skin and the other one was overcooked. The only thing good was the location and the serving personnel.

Ordered mixed fish plate with tashiki and a bottle of wine. The wine was quite good and the tashikia was fantastic. BUT... their fishplate was nothing more than a round of fry fry fry fries, spruce, spruce rings, sardines and more. It came straight from the frying pan. Attached are 2 pictures of fishplates one from this restaurant and the other as it should look. If you choose to visit the place then sit outside, there is very noisy inside. The service was nice and friendly but there was very busy so they were hard to get to. When I finally managed to order a beer it never came so we chose to go.

Reservation does not count if you are not Greek. 30 minutes wait for orders to be taken. Another 45 minutes for food to be served. Food was left in our hands as no space on the table for two, where our family was seated. Greek families would be served on the spot and had their food within 10 minutes. They were on their second orders before a bottle of water was brought to our table. Food was average with mussels of a very low quality. Greek salad was warm, tasteless with no dressing or oregano. Fried squid was cooked well, but served cold. No comments for other dishes as second orders never took place due to luck of space on the table and long waiting times. Avoid! Don't spoil your night out.

Great place to enjoy seafood

Great place to enjoy fish and sea food. Always fresh and tasty. Also, waiters are very kind and make you feel welcome. I have repeatedly ate here over years and I am glad to notice that the quality is consistent in time.

Andreas and the team of stuff are great. We went to this restaurant 3 times we were never disappointed. The freshly grilled fish is great to amazing pizza and of course souvlaki and stifado are a must. This is a busy restaurant and it is worth the wait. Highly recommend. Thank you Andreas for looking after us it was very much appreciated also the mini chocolate ice cream (magnums) is a very nice touch!

Great food. Large portions. Excellent service even when we informed them that one of the group had celiac disease they offered to modify our servings to serve us. It was a pity we had not found them from the beginning of our stay. It was all great. The boss's son was perfect in everything. I highly recommend it. They're all perfect. Keep going like this. Nice views if you get a front table

Been here lots of times when we've been in Thassos before and always enjoyed the food and the service. Went here twice this time. Our first week I ordered tomato fritters hoping that this year they may have them but again they didnt so why they're on the menu I dont know. Main meal I ordered mussel saganaki. On the top of bowl there were 3 big mussels in their shell one of which was close so didn't eat. The rest of the mussels in the meal were as small as my little finger nail. The second vist they couldn't do my daughters starter as all the pans were being used for fish dishes. Will try again next time in Thassos as food been delicious on other occassions

Over reputed place, walk on down to the sea there are lots of great restaurants. Was assigned a place in the middle, reminded me of the school cafeteria... The lamb chops were the slowest o sinewyest I experienced in Greece. But the staff should be commended, very nice.

Best Restaurant in Thassos

We went back to this restaurant after having been there 4 years ago. To our surprise one of the waiters recognised us and made us feel so welcome and pleased to see us. The food and service was fantastic, so much that we went back a few days later. Same reception, same service, same great food. Wonderful. The best restaurant in Thassos Town, the next best being Mylos. Well done!
