Welcome to Nikos Taverna located on the beautiful, picturesque peninsula of Vasilikos in the village of Gerakas, the southeastern-most part of Zakynthos (Zante) Island. This pretty stone restaurant inside a well-kept garden is run by Nikos and his family who are waiting to give you a warm welcome and tempt you with their delicious cuisine. Traditional, home made Greek dishes and selected local specialities, all prepared on site with fresh, quality ingredients, are waiting for you to taste. Families will feel welcome here as the restaurant features a playground as well as high chairs. Free parking is also available.

This place is a good alternative to Triodi, which is right behind it. However, it's not as cozy as Triodi. They have great food, cold beer, and fairly good house wine. We've been there two or three times and everything was delicious. The tavern also has a small playground for kids. No revelations, but the place is good for a lunch or dinner after several hours at the beach.

Very average Taverna. We had calamares, but it was quite dry and rubbery. Needed mayo to make it edible. Greek salad was good. House wine not so good - bright yellow and oxidised. The grill might have been a better choice from the charcoal grill.

Nikos Taverna is perfectly placed, at the far end of Porto Roma beach, in a quiet and beautiful spot. The food is fresh and delicious. Service is often slow and a bit haphazard but there is no need to rush, just enjoy the breathtaking view.
Particularly good pita, fish, local vegetables and halloumi are all cooked on an open grill in he evening, and brought to the table in no particular order. The local wine is also extremely drinkable.
This is a lovely, laid-back taverna. There is a small beach in front with sun beds and a small pontoon into the sea. The taverna is open all day long, and the staff work very hard.
An excellent spot for a delicious meal with and exceptional view.

Came here one night and although it is near the beach there isn’t much of a view. The food was ok but didn’t excite us enough to return for a second visit as we enjoyed other tavernas in the area more. Nothing wrong but we had some tavernas nearer to us that we thought were better.

Stayed in Vasilikos for a week and came to nikos 3 times during our visit. Food was lovely, mythos on draught served in frozen glasses.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit!

Typical taverna run by very nice friendly people serving a broad selection of Greek cuisine. The Gyros pitta is amazing value if you need a quick lunch break from the beach. I had a nice dinner there one evening as well. Really nice atmosphere.

We have eaten several times here in the past week and were never disappointed. The food is very good, we had greek salad, village sausage, chicken gyros plate and gyros pita. But the food was not the only reason we came back several times. The staff is very friendly, most of all the lady who runs the place.
If you are in Vasilikos I highly recommend you go eat here.

The best tavern in the area. Super Staff, Very Good Food, Super atmosphere, makes you feel good, Right Prices! Nikos, we're reviewing this year!
P.S. Italians in the area who think they are a 5 * restaurant can come to eat lessons, atmosphere, much to learn from NIKOS!

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday and on our trips out we found nikos taverna what a great find we had several meals and the menu was very varied an great value. The staff were very welcoming would not hesitate to go back

Just spent the last two weeks in Vasilikos and after trying a few different places to eat we found Nikos. It has to be Best food around the area and you are made to feel welcome and not rushed. And the steak was unbelievably good.

Not sure I want everyone to know, but this is our favourite spot for lunch, or an early evening G&T, or dinner. The view of the ocean and sunset is beyond compare. Yanna's attention to detail makes it a very special place

On our way to the beach here at the tip of the east coast, we called here for a cooling drink before going into the Turtle Centre and then on to the beach.
A pleasant setting for drinks, worth a visit if you are in the area.

We love Nikos Taverna. Good food, friendly service, relaxing patio. Great for dinner with the kids after a day on Gerakas beach. We have been here many times, and we will be back!
