The best lunch I have had for many years. Amazing tapas and dishes. The squid stuffed with muscrums, onions and scrimps was outstanding. Frank, the owner, described the dishes in a very engaging way increasing our appetite to a maximum. The goat cheese salad and...the scalloops are also highly recommended. Rare the I give a five star rating but this time I am not reluctant to do so.More

At first you wonder what it is going to be like - it is after all the former station building and quite modern but smallish. The welcome is great and then Frank explains what there is to eat. I think he has to be the...perfect host. He has a passion for what he does which I don't think I have encountered before. He explained that he engages with people to make sure they understand what they are ordering and gives suggestion and direction. The meal was a delight, the service was excellent, the experience brilliant - and all in a former railway station in Arriate. If you are within a 100 miles of here, go for dinner or lunch. Thank you, Frank and the team.More

We were staying in a nearby villa to celebrate a big birthday and booked to have lunch at this restaurant for a long Sunday lunch. There were ten of us. Frank told us what was available to order and guided us through the menu which...was vast and all sounded amazing. We ordered various starters, main courses, deserts and a lot of wine- the food just kept coming and everything was absolutely delicious. We were there for about four hours, left very happy and very full and the bill come to less than £50 a head- ridiculously good value for money. It was one of the best meals we have ever had in a very relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.More

This is a truly outstanding restaurant located a few km outside Ronda. From simple, individually prepared, tapas through to mutli course fine dining, this is a rare experience for this part of Spain. Ate here as a small group (five) for dinner. Guided by Frank...the owner, we enjoyed sharing plates of delicious individually prepared tapas/starter, followed by a succession of meat and fish dishes that were just a delight. Wines were local reds: deep, mellow and smooth. Price came in a €60 per had (a lot of wine in there) which is a lot by local standards, but you would be paying €150 - 200 per head for this standard of food in Madrid. No idea if there are options for veggies/vegans and other sorts of fussy eaters.More

We have had a number of meals at Frank’s over the years. It is must do when we visit the Ronda area. Frank is always most charming and the food delicious, would especially recommend “Frank’s Birthday cake” and the Iberian pork. Watching the long good’s...train weave its way around Arriate just adds to the charmMore

We chose this restaurant because of outstanding reviews and as we were staying in the area, just 15 minutes away. Having now experienced the culinary charms of this restaurant and Frank the owner, we now add our glowing review. We were taken through the menu...step by step with Frank, (so much choice)!. and after much diliberation, we chose a Prawn, Scallop and Avocado salad to share, followed by Pork stuffed with apple in a brandy sauce, and my partner chose Presa Iberica with peppers and spices. Every course was presented exquisitely and tasted superb. The setting finally makes this such a unique experiance, as its set in the rural rail station Arriate, 2 trains passed through and whislted. Just different, and wonderful.More

Over the years we have been her many times. The owner, Frank, is Dutch, but his restaurant is definitely Spanish with other European and Indonesian references. It is on the rural rail station of Arriate: occasionally trains pass a few yards away, for a few...moments blocking the wonderful hill views, and fabulous sunsets. Don't read the menu. Frank will come and describe almost every dish, in colourful and entertaining detail. The food is varied and delicious, and extraordinarily good value. Our extended and multi-generational family, including some very fussy eaters, love this unusual and unmissable restaurant, a hidden gem.More

Restaurant lives up to its excellent reputation. Worth the 1.5 hour drive from the beach. Rainy day forced the 4 of us to eat lunch inside which was full of rustic charm. We let Frank assist us with our order. Food and service was wonderful....Great value. Thank you. Can't wait to return!More

One of the best meals we have had in Andalucia . Perfect host, spotless surroundings in unique setting. A food experience that you savour and want to return. Wide selection, sensible prices for both traditional and different dishes made from the finest ingredients.
