Towards the end of our holiday and Almyrida was quiet. Tried Francoise.. A glass of wine and a sandwich.. My wife had a roast vegetable and cheese panini, I had a smoked salmon and salad, both were excellent, tasty and substantial. The white wine was very good, dry and fruity with lots of after taste, the red wine which I... More

I have never had a bad meal at Francoise... or come away hungry. The greek salad is always a good choice. great place to chill out next to the beach.

This relaxed restaurant was our first stop each day. Francoise serves wonderful Greek yogurt with honey, muesli and fresh fruits a well as a range of cooked breakfasts. They also, have Greek coffee which will keep you going through the day. Very friendly and the restaurant used by the local people. Another very helpful service is the book swap facility. Just take... More

Have visited Francoise for breakfast for several years now and it still keeps the high standards we've come to expect of it. The service is attentive and entertaining and breakfast is way above anyone's expectations of that meal. Most days I had a large jar containing low-fat Greek yoghurt, fruit, muesli and honey. Huge! And so tasty. My nearest and... More

Only visited this place once, mainly because it appeared to be too busy for just a quiet drink or two. It was very popular with 'ex-pats' as well as some locals and was very obviously the place to pick up on all the latest gossip. Beer was competitively priced, but we would prefer to drink ours in quieter places without... More

My friends advised me to go here for a breakfast. I duly obliged. However it provides well above average service and food. It is a bit clichéd but the English Breakfast is superb. Service is swift and friendly and as the locals go there you know it is good. Well worth a visit!

We have been visiting Francoise since we 1st visited Almyrida years ago. The service, atmosphere and food have never disappointed. Portions are substantial and although you should not expect absolute Cretan authenticity, the food is good and great value. A lovely spot right by the sea and marvellous service and humour from Myra (I hope spelled correctly! ).That lady works... More

By far the best service, food and drink we experienced in Crete. So good we kept going back and I think that speaks for its self.

Just love this place. On the beach, good banter with the owners, the perfect place to stop after the beach and before the shower.
