The quality of this restaurant both in terms of its food and service are just exceptional. We ate in a few of the other restaurants in Almyrida during the week we were there but this one stood head and shoulders above the rest. We ate there twice the first being my wife's birthday when we had the degustation menu and all 8 courses were outstanding. We visited again later in the week and ate from the a la carte which was just as good. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable which adds greatly to the experience. It is not inexpensive but in terms of value for money it is up there with many other restaurants we have eaten in all over the world

We went with my family and friends and the experience was 10/10 from the beginning to the end.
The food was delicious, the service outstanding and the location by the sea makes it very special.
We went 2 times in 5 days!
And for the sushi fans, they also make a very fresh and tasty sushi.
The tiramisu was a very good italian style and not to heavy.
We definitely recommend Almy Vita.

We ate at the Almyvita restaurant in Almyrida, Crete during our two week summer break. It was sensational
The waiters took the time to explain each dish and its origin , you know when there is this much attention to detail the restaurant experience will not disappoint !
My tuna carpaccio was as refreshing as bathing in the warm summer beaches that adorn this landscape. Each starter was meticulous in presentation and alerted taste buds we never knew existed ! The main dishes and desserts continued the high standard for the evening, In particular a special mention for the orzo pasta with Shrimp, the red mullet - beautifully delicate and crisp , and the Cheesecake with sorbet which simply melted in the mouth and cooled the senses
We will be returning before our trip home

We visited this magnificent restaurant twice in the two weeks we were in Crete even though it is the other end of the price spectrum- it was worth every penny. Truly outstanding cuisine of the highest standard with the most wonderful vista overlooking the Mediterranean Sea or is it the Aegean?
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful and polite - even taking photos when requested. The wine, recommended by the waiter was superb and great value.
The beef fillet was excellent as was the crab starter and the scallops were ‘the best Libby has ever had’. The strawberry soup was a thing of perfection.
Save up for a superb eating experience, you won’t be disappointed.

We have visited Almy Vita 8 times over the past 2 summers and every single dish has been perfect every time. A classy restaurant vibe, with superb views over the bay, this is fine dining by the sea. AlmyVita is easily the best restaurant in the area, with a professional and attentive service team, working in a Covid safe way, it's really hard to find any fault with the food or service.
A big thanks to Alex for 2 summers of superb service, although he did take 7 visits before owning up to being a Liverpool fan....I'll forgive him for that! Also, Niko, thanks for the amazing wines, we can't wait to return in 2022 to enjoy the food, wine, views and atmosphere of this special restaurant.

The best food experience we had in Crete. The restaurant stands out in comparison to all the other in town and the food was on a whole diffirent level. We had Lamb, pork and Rib-eye steak and OMG it was just perfect, some ordered medium and medium/well and also welldone, and all were just grilled 100% 👌🏼 not often this happens :-)

The service is excellent. Super professional guys with an extremely high standard. The location is super nice, modern and chic. The food extraordinary fresh and special. We went there 4 times and had always the best evening. I can highly recommend the sushi (outstanding) the risotto with lobster butter and prawns, fish tartar and the halvas as desert. Do not forget to make a reservation and just enjoy your time.

We planned our last night here because we saw a lot of good comments about the restaurant. However the evening ended badly in the end. The food and service (and of cource the prices) looks like a top restaurant, but the atmosphere was more like a beach buffet. The table next to us 10 children ate without supervision and the staff could not handle it. We were very disappointed after paying 220 Eur for the lunch. The Blue Elephant was much more professional!

A restaurant with a nice view, if your visiting it during the day. If you taste your food later in the day, you’ll have a nice view to the other guests, because the tables are set close to each other, certainly a business decision. In general the seating is fine, if there weren't the unstable floor that vibrates every time a waiter is passing, they are aware of it as we got a feedback from one of the waiters as we talked about it. So to hope an improvement project for coming off-season. However in general you’re seated good.
The amuse, yes the regards from the kitchen still exists, a paperback bread with taramas inside (fish egg) and some caviar on the upper part of it. A bit salty, however tasteful. We ordered a Bream Ceviche and a Greek Salad. The Ceviche was full of great and intense flavours, can really recommend it. The Greek Salad was a bit different from the “standard” one, the cheese was a mizythra (soft type Fetta cheese) mousse and had a fine taste.
As main dish some local flavour: Skioufichta, a traditional homemade Cretan pasta. And a chicken breast ballotine, a corn fed chicken with thyme sauce and celeriac puree. Both dishes have had nice flavours and a good taste.
As dessert a millefeuille and a strawberry soup with fresh herbs. Both sweets where amazing, however the amount was too much for a dessert, a quarter is really enough.
As wine we decided as well for a local product, a
Rose; Liatiko Kedros by Lyrarakis winery. A dry and smooth grape, it was an excellent pairing with our food.
The service was competent and friendly, as hospitality should be. It’s really nice that this village has such a restaurant, a nice different compare to you find in general in such destinations.

I visited with my nephew for a snack before lunch. We ordered a fruit salad. In the middle of the summer the fruit salad was apples. We paid 7€ for apples dipped in canned fruit juice. I m very sorry. That was not up to your standards. The waiter told me somedays we do not find fruits do its apples.

A fine dining restaurant with impeccable service. The food was divine and was accompanied by the availability of a wide range of high quality wines. I would probably describe the food as International Fusion cuisine. The shrimps in chilli mayonnaise was outstanding and the black squid ink risotto equally so. The fillet of fish and the chicken ballotine were also excellent. The cost was high as you would expect from such an elevated menu but certainly worth a visit.

While the offer in Almyrida is fairly levelled on the quality high-end, the AlmyVita is one step aside from the rest. To start with, it's a far more elegant restaurant (the only one?) than the other restaurants in Almyrida. So, it is perfect for a special occasion or to impress. As for the food, it is high quality and well cooked, more elaborate than average and with a more diverse offer beyond the expected local specialties. The service is kind and attentive. The roof top is a nice addition and perfect to keep a little away from the crowds ad noise of the street. Recommended for special occasions or any formal dine out experience.

What can I say about this restaurant!
Best dining experience we had in Crete.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday with some friends.
Everybody was so welcoming and attentive.
Truly the best service we ever had.
Every single course was well presented and explained to us.
Food was amazing also, we were pleasantly surprised with some small bites we were given at the start of our dinner as a welcome. So tasty as the rest of the food.
Thank you Almyvita team for our beautiful dining experience.

Visited for my birthday. Rooftop table. Beautiful ambiance and excellent service throughout the dinner.
We enjoyed octopus snd tuna tazaki to start following amouse Boucher and beautiful breads
Short rib and lamb for main … just lacked some vegetables.
Complimentary dessert was absolutely divine… strawberry and meringue. Fresh fruit and sorbet … delicious….
And great wine choice.🍷🥂🍸

What can we say! fantastic on every level. My husband and my friend and I visited Almyvita for my birthday celebration (the first of many in Crete). We had been watching the progress of the restaurant over the weeks leading up to opening and knew it was the pick for my birthday. Right from it’s location, position and the extensive and mouth watering menu. From the moment we entered, the service was impeccable. The head waiter explained food choices beautifully and his knowledge of wines was flawless. Every course we had was a delight to the taste buds. We were so impressed with every detail of the gorgeous staff and appreciated every gesture from them. We had such a fun night and will definitely be back. We wish you every success with this venture.
