How is Le Café rated?

Absolutely rubbish. The food is worthy of a below average cook. Embarrassing for any chef. Frozen chips, over cooked fish of the day, over cooked rice, prawns tough. Salad was a bit of iceberg with some red pepper and mango. No dressing. Absolutely rubbish. The...chef was too embarrassed come and see me so I went to see him. All he kept doing was apologising. No wonder we were the only ones in the restaurant, bar and probably the whole venue. Avoid at all cost. On a good note the waiting staff were good and very apologetic. 5* for the waiting staff. A shame the chef or any manager did not support them rather than hide away.More

Perfect seafront

It’s a very good cafe in the quieter part of diani(actually Galu beach), the prices are affordable and quality of food is good. We enjoyed a dine & swim package, their swimming pool is really good. I tried their chicken mango salad and calamari dish,...both very tasty. And would suggest their coffees.More

Great Menu

I spend extended time in Diani annually, and dine at Lantana at least once weekly. Best menu, value, and staff I’ve found, I’m treated like family. Great seafood, Swahili dishes, pasta, pizza, lunch items, and beef steak equivalent to the beef country in Idaho, tender...and flavorful. My favorite place to dine out in Kenya, beautiful ocean side dining.More

Perfect dinner!

We visited the restaurant in the end of January for a dinner. It was just perfect! We shared a few starters with the three of us and they were very tasty. Especially the tuna carpaccio, it was very good. For main course we enjoyed the...shrimps and steak. The steak was huge and tasty, the garnish was also fantastic. After dinner we had a espresso martini, the best way to end an amazing dinner. Hopefully we will be back again soon!More

Over a year later and still a fantastic place to eat.

We had Christmas dinner at Le Cafe and all enjoyed it thoroughly. Tables were set up in the pool area and overlooking the beach, fairy lights decorating the trees. The staff welcoming and friendly as always.

Lovely Experience

Jack the Chef and his staff do a lovely job. Food is lovely and they are very accommodating for different diets. Patience and her staff are excellent. A lovely friendly and relaxing place to visit.

Had a formal dinner for my pall

The service is amazing especially if you go there mid year you have the whole place to yourself and the food is amazing

beautiful place and very good food

We loved grilled fish, swahili dishes and their salads (although salads portion definitely too small). Very good and friendly service.

Cocktails

I was in a group of 10, the staff very helpful the drinks where fab, we where only going to stay for one but had more. The views where great.

Great place for cocktails

We came here one evening for a cocktail and stayed and had several. Staff were friendly and the cocktails DELICIOUS. Mum can't walk very far so they even showed us how to drive down an alley and end up close to the restaurant. Such a...shame it was empty of guests.More

Gorgeous place and very friendly staff.

We spent many days here as we were staying in a villa that wasn't near the beach. The staff always welcomed us like old friends. They have great capuccino, a fantastic view of the beach, it is a safe place to leave your stuff when...you want to go on the beach. Their food was really good and the drinks cold.More

Pleasant

Lovely ambiance and ideal lunch venue

We visited several times for lunch on a recent visit to Galu beach. Great salads and seafood (seared tuna being my favourite), good burgers, nice pizzas and child friendly food options. Staff a little rushed off their feet at times which made for slightly chaotic...table service, but we were a sizeable group so that can be forgiven. Superb location and atmosphere, would definitely recommend. It's lovely to find a beach front place that welcomes non residents off the beach to the restaurant. Well done.More
