Great place to go for atmosphere. The food was solid. I would definitely go again, but some of our dishes didn't BLOW me away. The carpaccio is very very good and so is the frozen key lim cheesecake. mango prawn salad is meh, but seriously, this might be one of the coolest restaurants I've ever been to.

This restaurant is genuinely in a coral cave next to Diani beach. It serves outstanding sea food and fish in an amazing ambiance. And not only that they pick you up from your hotel to get you there. They aldo have a beach side bar open in the day which serves lunch in a more casual atmosphere. Both well worth... More

I had read a lot of reviews about the place and went there not expecting much, just specificly for the ambiance. Well, it was worth it. The cave dining experience is just the best. Their wine list is also good. Their food is fresh, with the seafood freshly caught, and the vegetables freshly picked. Nevertheless, I was not really wowed... More

We went there with my family (8 adults), very fancy looking place, for the service I would say its okay, but the food was average or below... Unfortunately we paid high price for that food... Kenya restaurants not so cheap but you most-likely will pay for the view or the atmosphere.. Bonus for them, that they offer free transfer to... More

I had been eager to try this place over the last couple of years and was thrilled when my friends chose to eat dinner here our first night in Diani. While the decor lived up to the hype, the food and service did not. Small cockroaches intruded on our dinner several times - flying into our laps, onto the table... More

Amazing food, amazing setting and very friendly staff. The steak and chicken was cooked to perfection. This really is worth a visit. Not your normal restaurant. Great end to our honeymoon. Thank you.

It was reassuring to know that in returning to Ali Barbour's after 10 years some things hadn't changed! The setting is as stunning as ever, with the moon shining through the large hole above us. The sad part is that the food was not wonderful. We shared an appy, the "Ali's whisky prawns", which was delicious. The stroganoff was good... More

Beautiful restaurant! Inside a cave with hundreds of candles! Food was OK and the price was OK, but the scenery was stunning!

Not to be repetitive, but the cave is beautiful, and at night you can see the stars. The food is expensive, and when my family went the food took too long to arrive [over 1.25 hour]. Also, portions were on the small side. Lots of bread is provided. I found my barracuda dish to be very good. In light of... More

This restaurant is well worth a visit. The cave space has been used very artistically and the whole place is very tastefully decorated. There is an opening in the roof so that you can see the stars at night. The food is delicious and service is prompt and friendly.
