I have often stopped here for a dinner or so and have brought family-members and friends to enjoy their cooking plus great wines. They also have a lot of local products for sale, so this place is very well worth visiting.
Prepared for tourists. PLeasant staff, stylish place. Good prices for wonderfull meals. Presumably the best halaszle I ever had. Also other typical local foods. Also offer their own local canned products. A bit off the main road, but I would go this way again!
We visited the restaurant during our way home from Croatia. It looks great from the outside. At the entrance friendly stuff greats the guests. The meal is simply fantastic and cheap. Staff is friendly, servis is quick.
We dined on the outdoor, covered porch lined with bright pink flowers. The menu is in Hungarian, German, and English, and offers an extensive selection of typical Hungarian dishes. My husband enjoyed the bean soup with pork. We all lit into the plain langos with...garlic. I ordered a very, very good salad with mixed fresh vegetables, cheese, and bacon which was dressed with a very good house dressing. Alas, I had to ask for the bacon which had been omitted. It was worth the request because it added a nice touch to the salad. We also had to ask for utensils, I think because our waiter was a young novice. The palinka was very good. The inn offers many local Somloi wines. Their white house wine was fine with my chicken nuggets in a very tasty sour cream and mustard sauce. The service as noted was a bit awkward but made up for it with an eagerness to please.
Be sure to take home some of their very special cucumber pickles!More
