I used to go there every single time after a nice ski tour from Verbier these last 8 years... and many times during a season. One of my favorite, quiet and authentic terrace in Nendaz-Prarion. But what a surprise that Saturday (at 1:35 pm, sunny...and warm day) when the waiter said that they were fully booked... and that the terrace is obviously half empty and moreover some people are leaving! Closing at 2 pm on a Saturday is already weird for a seasonal restaurant, but refusing guests 25 min before the end of the cook’s shift... this is not serious. There was no sympathy, no politeness in the waiter’s words. There are plenty of nice terraces in the 4 Vallées, so I’ll try to avoid that one for now on. What a shame.More

This is a hidden jewel in the Alpes! Not in a crowded place but onde of the best restaurants in the Quattre Vallees on piste. Beautifull view and fine dining. If you visit the Quattre Vallees this is a must-visit. If you are not the...best skier and you come from Siviez, take the cable car lift down and ski further on. Don’t ski to the bottom of the ‘teller lift’ but stay at the right and take the path. Just after the chair lift you ski under of is this nice restaurant. Enjoy your stay and lunch.More

We were skiing in Nendaz and were recommended this restaurant for lunch whilst skiing. You ski down a red run and just before the chair lift on the right is the restaurant. They do a great fondue and the desserts are delicious. The only challenge...is the unmanned drag lift back to the piste! Great fun though and worth the lunch. You may need to book in the ski season as it was really busy and we were lucky to get a table.More

It's a bit of a trek to get there but well worth it. Stunning views and sun until late in the evening. We went for the plat du jour which was excellent. There's also a good kids menu. Service is good with friendly attentive staff....The main menu has a good choice too. There's a trampoline for kids in the summer. It's a lot easier to get to by car from Nendaz than La Tzoumaz as the road is straight. The track from La Tzoumaz is easier with a 4x4.More

Yesterday we hiked along the Bisse de Saxon to the Chalet des Alpes for lunch. We had a fantastic three course meal and bottle of superb local Rosé, and then hiked back. Service and attention to detail faultless. Not a cheap meal, but every mouthful...was delicious and put together in a way I could never do at home (without a week off before hand!) So we didn't begrudge the cost. Especially when you consider this is a chalet 3/4 way up a mountain:More

This is an excellent establishment, in a great location for skiers and summer walkers alike. The food is so imaginative as well as being tasty. Yesterday's hay soup was sublime.

We have been to this restaurant approximately 6 times and every time we have an excellent meal, excellent service with the excellent view! The first time we visited we weren't expecting such lovely deco with the little hearts cut out in the chairs etc. -...nicely surprised. Each time we take the menu du chef and it's always presented beautifully and of course tastes great. I recommend also the period of Chasse. We have been in winter & summer and both great - from beginning to end a lovely experience. As it is a sister restaurant of the Mont Rouge in Nendaz it's gourmet food for great value.More

ive been to this restaurant a number of times and its been fair to good. its a fab location and a great sun trap. i make an effort to support it as it has a very up and down season according to the weather and...the piste being open. i arrived with my wife and 2 kids and was completely ignored by the staff, one particular older lady just took no notice whilst the 2 younger people acknowledged but did nothing to seat us.they were quite busy but we wanted at least to be told there was a wait, instead nothing. we left eventually and went to Tracouet. needless to say we wont go back! Switzerland is terribly expensive but usually the people are much more freindly than the French Alps, this was an exception and i hope the only one!More

Le Chalet des Alpes is a very inviting chalet restaurant in Prarion which is very conveniently situated at the bottom of the red piste down from Tracouet. It is a delightful haven for lunch after a few hours a skiing around the Nendaz ski area....The menu offers a good variety of hearty and health options. The staff are very friendly and aim to please each customer whatever language they may speak! Booking before is highly recommended as it is very popular.More

A business friend showed me this place out of ski season, It is a very well decorated nice chalet and a very nice terrace with a great vue. the service is really excellent, the menu has a lot to offer, without talking about the gourmet...menu which is dream. This region of the Alps is usually quite expensive, but this place is absolutely not great price quality restaurant. very good wines at affordable price. You can acces directly on skis in the winter.More
