Nestled in a tranquil, rural setting, just a few miles south-west of Tetbury, the Royal Oak at Leighterton is surrounded by rolling countryside and picturesque Cotswold villages. Badminton, Highgrove House, Westonbirt Arboretum, the Cotswold Way and Monarch's Way are all within a stone's throw, while Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham are just a short drive away. The Royal Oak is the ultimate country inn, serving fabulous locally sourced food, good wine, well-kept ales and warm hospitality. The beautiful Grade II listed building underwent an eight-month renovation, which saw it stripped back and carefully restored, ensuring it stayed faithful to its origins. With a true Cotswold village inn atmosphere, the Royal Oak offers roaring log fires in winter, and a pretty walled garden for outdoor dining in summer. When it comes to food, the kitchen crafts classic dishes and innovative specials using seasonal, local and regional ingredients wherever possible. Whether you're looking for a three-course dinner, simple bar meal, or a relaxing drink, the Royal Oak is sure to offer you a warm welcome in an idyllic country setting. Booking is advisable for weekends and large groups.
