We stopped here on out way out of town for a quick lunch. Had a delicious Lamb shank pie and couscous salad. However carrot cake had not been mixed properly so ended up with a mouthful of baking soda. Not particularly enjoyable. Overall, having visited many times, this place is very conveniently located but often just misses the mark as... More

Popped in for a coffee enroute north and after seeing their cabinet treats couldn't resist sharing an afghan. There were far more delectable looking treats but we left those for another day. The coffee was excellent, the barista was in training so we were really impressed. The afghan was nice, plenty of cocoa making it nice and dark but we... More

Called in for a casual quick lunch on the way to Hanmer. Vegetarian scone was extremely tasty but the berry muffin a little light on fruit and slightly overcooked. Coffee was great but they don't know the difference between a flat white and a latte. Would call in again

Wonderful choices. Excellent service. Group of 4 girls, 3 of us had eggs benedict 1 had pancakes which she reckons were up there with the best. Egg benedict was lovely only complaint wod be that when you ask for hard eggs they always still come out runny. Aside from that great place to stop.

We stopped here for coffee and cake on way back to Nelson. Always wanted to stop here as had made one of their recipes that I found in a book for Pukeko Chocolate cake and it was delecious. We had great coffee and the Rhubarb and Walnut cake was delicious, even though they were very busy it came out within... More

I've been here before and even though it was a couple of years ago it is still just as good. Friendly staff, good food, plenty choice and the best coffee I've had for ages. Can't wait till I'm back through here in September.

I took an elderly group there and the manageress and staff catered for our every need, sizing the meals just right for the seniors. The service was EXCELLENT, and the food was cabinet food tailored to size and combinations to suit. When we went there the second time, the service and food were "only" very, very good, but we will... More

Stopped here with my partner for breakfast on Friday morning, on our way to Hanmer. I had the eggs bene and opted to try the toasted scone base, for a change. My partner had bacon & eggs on toast. Both meals came out looking amazing and very generous in the bacon servings - and in size. Our coffees were top... More

Would love to find a worthwhile eating place open most hours to break the journey north from Christchurch. Tried this place. Won't be returning sorry guys. Your selection is dominated by a fridge full of cakes. Does nothing for my blood sugar levels and management should be ashamed of themselves encouraging a high sugar hit with quite frankly very little... More

I have been working near Pukeko Junction for the last couple of weeks so I popped in most days for coffee and their amazing savoury scone. Over the years I have visited Pukeko Junction because the service, coffee and food are always good. The cabinet food is amazing and well priced.I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone who is...
