Friendly staff, good selection of food, good coffee, I had the Pork apple sausage roll with salad, this was a great dish except for the cheap tomato sauce, a homemade tomato sauce or relish would of taken this dish to the next level.

As usual Pukeko Junction didn't disappoint. A timely stop between Christchurch and Hanmer Springs. Enjoyed yummy lunch with coffee and finished off with piece of our favourite lemon slice which is exquisite

Usually excellent food and service, this time the service let it down. We called in on a midweek day and there were no more than six tables taken., We ordered - seafood chowder, a fishcake & side salad, coffees and a cake. It was 20 minutes before even the coffees arrived (let alone any food) and there was very little... More

Stopped on the way to Hanmer and it was as usual full to overflowing. We call in often on our way north and have never been disappointed as the food and service are second to none for a cafe. Always plenty on the plate served hot with good quality salad etc. The local wines add to the the selection of... More

We called in here to look at the gift shop and to choose some cake for afternoon tea. A busy cafe with a good selection to choose from. We selected a walnut and pear cake and an oat and caramel slice. Large servings that we thoroughly enjoyed. The gift shop has a good range including an interesting range of New... More

We called in to Pukeko Junction for lunch on the way to Hanmer Springs. Good Selection of food and good service. The coffee (very important) was very good. Have driven past many times and glad we stopped this time and now know why the carpark is usually full! There is a nick nak shop and local wines for sale in... More

Very impressive of freshly cooked and prepared foods making it a great stopover en route North or South from Christchurch. Baked goods a speciality and some of the tastiest scones in the region.

We stopped at Pukeko Junction for lunch. The leek tart with homemade beet relish was wonderful. The side salad was fresh and a welcome change from the fried fare usually available. The staff bottled up some beet relish for me which I carried home in hopes of finding the recipe. No luck so far!

My wife and I dropped in for breakfast and decided to share the Farmhouse breakfast. This was on the menu at a price slightly higher than we normally pay for a big breakfast. We were then told that sausage was extra, so we ordered this. We ordered a pot of tea for 2. When our tea arrived it was only... More
