The Solier Cafe Confectionery and Dessert Restaurant is located on two levels of a building in downtown Gödöllő. We often eat at Solier Restaurant. The waiters are very nice, polite ,helpful and fast. They speak good English. The food has always been special, tasty, real gourmet dishes just like the sweets. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

One of a kind dinner experience

This restaurant' dessert-style menu is truly a unique experience. The presentation of each dish was crafted to match the flavors and type of dish. The dishes were exceptional and well balanced with a variety of flavors and experiences in each one from the appetizers, to main to dessert. The wines were also well-paired with each dish. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience a unique dessert-inspired menu from an amazing chef!

Lunch after visiting Sissi Castle

Reported by Lonely Planet, we had lunch in this bakery, choosing between the dishes of the day and two really good desserts. I recommend it for a quick lunch after visiting Sissi Castle. Cheap, great quality and friendly staff.

A superb lunch on a wet afternoon

We arrived at Godollo station ready to see the palace and a torrential downpour led us here via the TripAdvisor App. We ventured upstairs, past the superb looking cakes, wondering if this was a proper restaurant, to be welcomed by a glass of champagne at our table. The tremendous lunch was typical Hungarian, though not cliched food. Nectarine soup, duck liver brûlée, compressed chicken leg with mushroom compote washed down with a fine local Chardonnay. Thoroughly recommended with extremely polite service.

Great food, even better service!

The restaurant is on the upper floor of a bakery. If it wasn't for Tripadvisor we would probably not have found it. But luckily we did. The food was great and the service was the best we've had in Hungary. Very friendly staff. They also speak good English which we found is quite rare when you are outside of Budapest. For people who like desserts this is also a great place because you can choose from a very wide range of desserts in the bakery downstairs. If you are in Godollo you should definitely visit this restaurant.

We wanted to have supper in the restaurent and it was told that there is a private event there. There were only 3 persons sitting at one table but the answer was: they paid for having the whole restaurant. Finally we learned that there was a wedding party there but we had to provokate this information from the stuff. We felt ourself very unconvenient.

This is an amazing restaurant with a broad selection. The food was delightful, and the preparation was swift. Next to the Hungarian menu (since of course, you are in Hungary after all-), the menu also had English translations, which is very handy for foreigners. The only "downside" to it is the fact that in conclusion, the prices are quite high since along with the price for your meal, you must pay 12% tip for the amazing service as well. However, this is noted, so it is no surprise. In addition to that, since the meal was simply perfect, the prices are fair. To sum up; This is a fantastic restaurant with a lovely selection of tasty meals.

Perfect Dinner

I was there with 3 Colleagues and we had really good meals and very good wine. They have only local products, I like this. The wine was a little bit expensive, but the food had a very good price/quality. The service was also very good with really nice peoples.

Delicious dishes with fantasy. Everybody can find something super, be it meat, fish or veggie food. And a wide range of desserts downstairs. Not a cheap place but in return you get super quality. And complimentary appetizer. :)
