Very welcoming and beautiful place near to the Benedictine Archabbey. This restaurant doesn’t have a big selection of food, but every plate is very well arranged and the portions are reasonably big. Every food look beautiful, but I could imagine more decoration with flowers. Try...the lemonade and home made soft drink made of lavender syrup, you can really taste the lavender. As I always love to try something new, something different, I really enjoyed my visit there. For coffee and cakes I went to the village to Pausa Coffe House, which belongs to them.More

Reluctant staff, empty restaurant with all tables reserved - few people there. After 1 hour nearly empty, after 2 hours nearly empty but still reserved...

Nice food but very slow customer service. Not many guests, 5 waiters, but they were focused on themselves.

A restaurant where the food appeals to the stomach and to the eye. A stylish restaurant just below Pannonhalma Archabbey it boasts stunning views through the glass walls or from the terrace.

We dined at Viator on a Saturday evening when it was very quiet there, with only two tables being occupied. Perhaps it was still relatively early hours. Service was friendly and not rushed. The selection of food would have been agreeable if they had offered...more vegetarian/vegan dishes and more choices for people with special dietary requirements e.g. gluten and dairy free. Nonetheless, the food served was fresh, well seasoned and of excellent quality which was, understandably and as expected, duly reflected in the price. The portion sizes were on the large side for me and also considering that it is a fine dining place. All in all, Viator shows signs of an outstanding restaurant should they sort out their menu with vegetarian/vegan/gluten and dairy free options.More

Under the archabbey is the Viator restaurant where you can park for free. Sitting on the summer terrace is very pleasant, food decent but with higher price range.

We only wanted to have coffee and continue our trip, but checked the menu anyway. I fell for the cold salty cucumber soup, and it was a bullseye. Fresh, tasty, cold, an explosion of flavors and you definitely feel the cooling effect.

We ordered the 4-course menu and an extra main dish (for 2). Perhaps I am being impatient, but it took almost 2 hours to serve us all of the above. If we put that aside, the food was excellent, and it isn't that pricey for...a high end place.More

We were taken to this great restaurant as part of a private tour. A great choice. The food was a combination of traditional Hungarian-Austrian and modern International cuisine. The view and wine choices were great. The prices were much better than Budapest for better quality...meals.More

Very modern, airy restaurant with a menu and wine selection worthy of a quality restaurant aspiring for the title of haute cuisine. On this late lunch occasion they were not busy and service was polite and fairly quick. Had the grilled Fogas (pike perch) on...a bed of quinoa. The fish was grilled to perfect flakiness. The quinoa, somewhat reminiscent of couscous, was also placed over tiny, thin strips of sauteed cabbage and for further decorations and contrast to the plate, patches of carrot sauce and carrot chips were added in a circle. This well thought out combination provided a remarkable taste and texture experience. For dessert a chocolate mousse with a touch of chocolate ice cream was also outstanding. If you are travelling by car from Vienna to Budapest or back or you are a local or an expat living in Gyor it is well worth a 10km detour to Pannonhalma to visit this fine restaurant for lunch or dinner.More

This all glass and steel restaurant is located next to western hungary's largest abbey in Panninhalma. It offers a modern and sophisticated menu with few options but all worth trying. The ambience is very airy and light since all the walls are glass which will...warrant wearing your sunglasses inside the restaurant on sunny day ;-) otherwise service is nice and the place is very pet friendly - on a Sunday lunch we had about 5 dogs in the restaurant. The pumpkin soup and the leg of crispy duck we had was amazing. Strongly recommend the stopover when visiting Pannonhalma on your way to Györ on M1.More

The views from this restaurant during daylight are breathtaking yet serene. We were there in late afternoon when the sun shone in, and the restaurant was quiet and eerily beautiful. The food was even more transformative - I had the best duck liver I have...ever had, in any country. The pumpkin soup was also extraordinary - with an unexpectedly complex blend of tastes. Everything was served in a beautiful way as well - plates were works of art, and the wait staff are professionals. Don't miss it!More
