Villa Ruza (Rose) has a perfect location on the peak of the Kalamota (Kolocep) island. As we spend every year the first half of September on this island, and as our favorite restaurant closed due to the lack of guests (Corona), we were looking for...alternatives. Villa Ruza officially closed end of August, but walking by, we saw the door open and entered. twice a week, they are still operating for hotel guests, but we managed to sneak in and get a table. there is a four-course fish and a meat menue for only 190 Kuna (some 30 Euro). it includes the wine and the coffee. of corse we went for the fish option and it was excellent. friendly staff, great setting, and fantastic food. really great value for money. we immediately booked for the next two open days.More

Tasty, fresh, delicious food. Very good white wine. Romantic view. Fast, professional, friendly waiters. If you are on Kalamota island, it's the best place to eat. Especially in the evening, during sunset.

Had to eat inside because of the rain.. Good food, dreadful service but didn't spoil holiday and we all laughed about it in the restaurant

We dined here s part of the Tui SENSIMAR all inclusive deal. A fabulous a la carte meal with great service. Restaurant is right on the sea. Ensure you use mosquito repellent as the dining is outside (Sept 19)

Great location for al fresco dining among the over hanging vines and the sea views. The food was a 3 course fine dining meal with 3 choices of each. The staff were lovely

Sadly we did not get to experience this restaurant during our five days on the island as they had a wedding function every day! However this was poorly communicated and we both messaged the restaurant via Facebook and emailed them (after their social media Manager...asked us too) only to never recieve a response to us asking to book a table. It wasn't until we walked to the restaurant to book in person that they explained they were fully booked with weddings. This is clearly were the money is made and would appear to be the most perfect venue for a wedding but when it was only one of two restaurants open to us it did seem a shame that provision for people wanting to use the restaurant isn't also considered. It looked a magical place and we are so disappointed that we didn't get to eat there but feel communications could and should have been so much better.More

As part of our stay at the sensimar hotel on the kalamota island we dined at both the Villa Rose and culinarium restaurant. The culinarium in our opinion was the better of the two. However it is a close run contest. The setting of the...Villa rose is definitely the best, overlooking the sea and perfectly tree lined and tranquil. We had steak in both and both were as good if not better than some more expensive restaurants we have dined in. The only criticism I have with the Villa rose is that we were given a set menu with a limited choice of starters, main course and dessert. Also they only offered us certain drinks ie my family all wanted Malibu but we're told that we couldn't. This is in contrast to the culinarium where we had a full menu and all drinks included. Despite this I suggest that when stopping at the main hotel you book into both these restaurants and enjoy the food and beautiful setting.More
