Excellent restaurant on the water we were lucky to stumble upon. Right in the Unesco heritage wine growing area. Perfect in all respects. Top quality seafood. Best restaurant in town. View is beautiful, deserts are fantastic and when you are here don’t forget to try the tuna steak Portuguese style, it’s amazing :)

Amazing main meal (fish and prawn skewer). Cooked perfectly in a simple, but delicious rich butter. Local white wines were very nice with the seafood. Tried the lemon meringue tart for dessert, which was disappointing- more of a sweet custard with no lemon flavour. Probably slightly more upmarket - and hence a little pricier - than most other restaurants in Madalena. However, the food.was always excellent and the service good. The 3 times I went I always managed to get a table without difficulty, but would recommend any groups...larger than a couple.vook in advance to be sure of getting a table.More

Lovely dinner at this restaurant. It has a great location looking out over the sea. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. We tried the BBQ prawns and fish and the octopus stew.

First I must say: this is one of the few restaurants in PDL open for dinner on Sunday, which is what initially brought me there (as well as recommendations) - as it's a bit further out of the city centre. Once you get past the...very bright, mainly-white dining room (they really could use a dimmer switch for some atmosphere...), it's a nice place. Service was attentive and friendly. The menu is extensive - quite extensive - and portions are large. Yes, it's a bit pricey - but all in relative terms. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and really liked that they had more than a couple glasses of wine available by the glass. The view around the bay into town is excellent, though admittedly I saw little of it as I was there later for dinner.More

You'll pay a bit more here - more of a formal dining experience - it's feels like it's had a make over recently it's a bit smarter than your average dining establishment in the town - white cloth table cloths, white chairs. and...you'll pay at least 15% more - and not entirely sure if that's justified. We turned up without booking and managed to get a table on the balcony, overlooking Faial. Fabulous sunset and excellent food, reasonably quick service despite how busy they were. This was the best meal we had on Pico.
