Nice location looking over the water. Large open airy space with open windows that were nice for Covid reasons. Good fish dishes, the fish skewers were a sight to see. Good fish soup. Good service.

This lovely little restaurant on the waterfront fills up quickly, and we were lucky that our hotel managed to snag us a reservation for the 7 pm seating. Not too many restaurants are open on Sunday here. I had the fish skewer, which arrived so...dramatically hanging off a platform that everyone in the restaurant turned to admire it. The fish was wreck fish, and it was moist and delicious but so big I could only eat a third of it. (We should have shared, which I noticed several tables did later.) It was interspersed with two big whole shrimp which were delicious. Plus a salad snd boiled potatoes! My husband had pork tenderloin and a very good rice cake with spinach and other things in it. We each had a glass of Pico wine, just average.More

The place came recommended and for a reason. The location on the outskirts of Madalena just off the beach is great. The staff is friendly and efficient. Food is excellent and well prepared and presented. We got good advice on local wine. Great dinner!!!

Our favourite restaurant in Pico. Make sure you have a reservation. If you’re lucky, you get a table in the front row. Also a good place for watching the sunset

Good food, friendly service, nice view. The service woman was running around, she could be more chilled out. But I can recommend.

Excellent restaurant on the water we were lucky to stumble upon. Right in the Unesco heritage wine growing area. Perfect in all respects. Top quality seafood. Octopus salad, octopus à lagareiro, fresh grilled fish...boca negra for me. Delicious! Manuela who served us was a delight!...When in Pico do not miss!More

Best restaurant in town. View is beautiful, deserts are fantastic and when you are here don’t forget to try the tuna steak Portuguese style, it’s amazing :)

Amazing main meal (fish and prawn skewer). Cooked perfectly in a simple, but delicious rich butter. Local white wines were very nice with the seafood. Tried the lemon meringue tart for dessert, which was disappointing- more of a sweet custard with no lemon flavour. Other...than that, 5 stars Service was very busy, but the young waitress was fast and attentive, easily managing all the outside tablesMore

Nice place to watch the sunset from and a good variety of traditional meals. On the expensive side but overall a nice place to dine.

Probably slightly more upmarket - and hence a little pricier - than most other restaurants in Madalena. However, the food.was always excellent and the service good. The 3 times I went I always managed to get a table without difficulty, but would recommend any groups...larger than a couple.vook in advance to be sure of getting a table.More

Lovely dinner at this restaurant. It has a great location looking out over the sea. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. We tried the BBQ prawns and fish and the octopus stew.

First I must say: this is one of the few restaurants in PDL open for dinner on Sunday, which is what initially brought me there (as well as recommendations) - as it's a bit further out of the city centre. Once you get past the...very bright, mainly-white dining room (they really could use a dimmer switch for some atmosphere...), it's a nice place. Service was attentive and friendly. The menu is extensive - quite extensive - and portions are large. Yes, it's a bit pricey - but all in relative terms. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and really liked that they had more than a couple glasses of wine available by the glass. The view around the bay into town is excellent, though admittedly I saw little of it as I was there later for dinner.More

Not bad. You'll pay a bit more here - more of a formal dining experience - it's feels like it's had a make over recently it's a bit smarter than your average dining establishment in the town - white cloth table cloths, white chairs. and...you'll pay at least 15% more - and not entirely sure if that's justified. Tuna steak and sweet pots Pico Style plus a starter plus 2 glasses wine €28More

We turned up without booking and managed to get a table on the balcony, overlooking Faial. Fabulous sunset and excellent food, reasonably quick service despite how busy they were. This was the best meal we had on Pico.
