Had wondered around Guilvenic looking for somewhere to dine when came across this little gem. Unfortunately they were booked out, so taking this as a good sign we booked for the following night and were so glad we did. As well as offering typical French fayre, it had several specials so we went for them. highlights were the beetroot gazpacho,... More

We'd planned a lunch before visiting the fishing museum so went off armed with a TA list of recommended restaurants. We came across Le Rabelais and thought it looked charming, so after inspecting a number of other menus, decided this looked the best option And it was - a lovely set menu with delicious food and wine. The restaurant looks... More

With the exception of Le Poisson D'Avril this is the best restaurant in Guilvinec. Run by a Belgian couple this is a wonderful place with steaks to die for and second to none service. The menu changes regularly and is rather more meat based than fish. This is fine dining at a reasonable price. When in Guilvinec make sure you... More

We had a great family evening last Sunday at Le Rabelais, reason why we decided to go back today. Very nice staff, delicious food, well served. Big portions and good to eat at a Belgian Chef

Went here as our last evening out of the holiday expecting it to be pretty good from the reviews. After several experiences of earth chaotic service, this place was a lovely surprise. The good was just excellent. Great local dishes and seafood with steaks to die for. The monkfish and lemon sole were lovely. The service was really attentive and... More

I reviewed this restaurant approx 4years ago and was very happy with the food and service. On return to Guilvinec I heaved visited this restaurant on two occasions and once again was not disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere was absolutely terrific. The sheer quality of theRabelis is excellent and all at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work... More

The wife and I only have the one night out this holiday, sharing babysitting duty with our friends, with our little girl kind of behaving well enough to justify heading out. Having tried one of the more touristy guilvenic restaurants during the day last year, I was hoping for something a little more local this time round. Looked on Tripadvisor... More

Visited Sunday as only choice but returned Monday as good value and satisfying repas. The staff were really attentive especially considering they were stretched particularly on the Sunday.A good choice of dishes on the menu, very fair prices for good quality wine all in all content.

We came across this restaurant by accident having already disregarded the very expensive alternatives. We were very pleasantly surprised and had excellent service with help deciphering the menu. The ambience was good and the place appeared to be popular with the locals, always a good sign. The food was very good and also reasonably priced with the 'Menu du Jour'... More

The town of Guilvinec closes down at this time of the year and on a Tuesday night not many restaurants are opened here or close by with good ratings. The restaurant is warm and cozy and small. The two servers were cute and very pleasant. The patrons, not many, were young and, I think, locals( we were informed that the... More
