We stopped in last summer to grab a quick bite. The people nd the food were great. We had a sample of their oat cakes, and took the recipe. I finally had a chance to make some, and they turned out awesome.

We went out of our way to return to this gem. The ladies were so helpful at packing up our sandwiches for hiking and the food was delicious.

We were staying down the road from here and ended up eating breakfast here everyday. What blew me away was how delicious the supper was. I had fish and mashed potato which were scrumptious. The veggies that came with it were seasoned beautifully. Everything was reasonably priced and the staff were so friendly and polite. The last morning we ate... More

We enjoyed a hot homestyle breakfast of eggs, toast made from homemade bread, bacon and coffee for a very reasonable price. Quick, easy and satisfying.

Stopped for cinnamon rolls and butter tarts. Wow, we should have gone back for more. fresh biscuit cinnamon rolls (and I am a c.r. aficionado) and best pecan butter tarts I have had, including my own homemade!

We dropped in this past week after moose hunting in Meat Cove. Had their fish stew which actually had fish in it. Also their Rueben sandwich and a coffee. Very inviting, friendly staff, good food, very happy.

On advice from a local, we stopped at the Clucking Hen for a delicious home cooked breakfast. Service was friendly and breakfast was tasty. Beautiful views as well.

Food is comforting - like home cooking. I had a lunch of soup and sandwich, with a fair bit of choice in how my sandwich was made - on my choice of baked-right-there breads. This place IS a bakery; desserts are rather sinful. And, rare in this part of the Cabot Trail, the Clucking Hen is licensed. I found the... More

This restaurant was convenient for lunch as we were visiting the artisan studios in North Shore. I had the roasted red bell pepper soup with a grilled cheese & ham sandwich. Hubby had the grilled reuben-type sandwich on rye. Everything was fresh and delicious! In the case near the cash register, there are lots of goodies to choose from: desserts,... More
